Linebacker Anthony Walker, Jr. is signing a new contract with the Browns. After finishing his one-year deal with Cleveland at the end of the 2021 season, he has signed another one-year deal for 2022. The contract is reportedly for $5 million.
Cleveland.com Browns beat writer Mary Kay Cabot reported the news via Twitter on Wednesday.
The Colts drafted Walker in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He played there for four years before signing with the Browns on a one-year contract. During his time in Indianapolis, he played in 57 games, collected three interceptions, had 11 passes defended, 3.5 sacks and 229 combined tackles.
Last season, Walker played in 13 games, starting in 12. He had one sack and 113 combined tackles, including two tackles for loss. After losing Austin Hooper and J.C. Tretter, the Browns hold onto a defensive piece.
