Left tackle Andrew Thomas and the Giants have agreed to a huge contract extension. Thomas has agreed to a new contract worth $117.5 million over the next five seasons, which will have $67 million in guaranteed money.
The NFL’s official Twitter account reported the news via Twitter on Wedesday.
Thomas was originally a top-five selection in the 2020 NFL Draft out of the University of Georgia. The Giants selected him fourth overall to help anchor the line. He’s missed four games during the past two years, but that didn’t stop him from being selected to the Second Team All-Pro in 2022.
Last year, when Thomas played 98 percent of the offensive snaps for which he was available, he had just one penalty, which was neither an offsides or holding penalty. In 2021, he even caught a pass for two yards and a touchdown in 2021.
