Titans safety Amani Hooker has leveraged a good season into a contract extension through 2026. Hooker’s new contract extension signs him for three more years, at a rate of $11 million per year, for a total of $33 million.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Friday.
Hooker was drafted in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans. During his college career at Iowa, he was the Big Ten Defensive Back of the Year in 2018 and First Team All-Big Ten in the same year.
In 44 NFL games (15 starts), Hooker has five interceptions and eight pass defenses. Although he has yet to record a sack at the free safety position, he has collected 133 total tackles in his career. 62 of those tackles and one of those interceptions came in 2021.
