The Orlando Magic are sending Aaron Gordon to the Nuggets in return for Gary Harris. Both players are in their seventh year in the league and had been with their respective teams for their entire career up until today’s trade deadline.
The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported the news via Twitter on Thursday.
Gordon is probably best known for his dunk contest performances, in which he posted some perfect scores with some electrifying dunks, yet failed to win. As a player he has averaged 12.9 points and 6.4 points per game in seven years with the Magic.
Gary Harris has been a key piece of a Nuggets team that shocked the NBA last season by coming back from 3-1 holes in the playoffs in back-to-back series during the 2020 playoff bubble. He averages 12 points per game and shoots at a hair under 36 percent from three point range.
The Magic and Nuggets are trading sizes and skill sets here, on the day of the NBA trade deadline.
