The Arizona Cardinals are reportedly finalizing a deal with long time Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green. Details of the new deal are unavailable at time of writing, as it still in the works.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the news via Twitter on Wednesday afternoon.
Green is a seven-time Pro Bowler, who was the Bengals’ fourth overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft out of Georgia. He has been a lynchpin of the Cincinnati offense ever since.
In six of Green’s 10 NFL seasons he has racked up over 1,000 yards receiving, while coming just 36 yards short of a seventh. This includes his 2019 season where he did not play a single game due to an injury suffered on the very first day of training camp.
All told, Green has 9,430 career yards and 65 career touchdowns. He has been a bit more brittle lately, but is a good addition to a Cardinals team that is clearly going all-in on making a deep playoff run in 2021.
