Although the Cincinnati Bengals are 0-5 on the season, some good news has come to light. Wide receiver A.J. Green has returned to practice.
Green has been dealing with an ankle injury since before the start of the 2019 season. As a result, the receiver has not practiced since July 27th. That is until Thursday, when Green was spotted in a helmet and shoulder pads on the Bengals practice field. Although the wideout has been ruled out for the sixth consecutive game, Green is showing signs of returning soon.

This news has been followed up with trade rumors surrounding Green. As a result of an 0-5 start, plenty have stated that the Bengals should deal the wideout before the trade deadline. According to Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic, Head Coach Zac Taylor put an end to these rumors on Thursday after stating, “I’ve heard the speculation. We are not trading that guy.”
With the trade rumors diminished, the Bengals can find some relief that their WR1 will be back soon. As of now, Green has been very limited in practice and will not participate in Sunday’s matchup with the Ravens. In the meantime, Tyler Boyd and Auden Tate will lead the wide receiver committee.
