The 2025 NFL Draft will be a great event for teams to start building for their future. Here is the Tyler Booker NFL Draft Profile.
Position: Interior Offensive Lineman
School: Alabama
Size: 6-foot-5, 321 pounds
Class: Junior
2024 stats: First Team All-American
Booker was a five-star prospect in the class of 2022 who signed with Alabama at of Connecticut. He was named a Freshman All-American for his play in 2022, playing both guard spots along the way. His play helped the team win 11 games that season. Booker was a mainstay on the starting lineup in 2023, earning First Team All-SEC honors. Alabama won 12 games and made the CFP that season. In 2024, Booker was an All-American and led the Crimson Tide to a nine-win season.
Following the season, Booker declared for the 2025 NFL Draft. He is currently projected to be a first-round pick.
Booker will look and play the part of an interior offensive lineman in the NFL. He stands at 6-foot-5 and 321 pounds, which is excellent for a guard. With his height and weight comes great length at over 34-inch arms. His strength is also great, which paired with his length, helps him control matchups and sustain blocks for extended periods of time.
He uses his power well in the running game. Booker is able to clear big holes and move defenders completely out of the way in the process. He can displace even the powerful defensive tackles he goes up. Booker can make his block, then get to the second level and linebackers have no chance of shedding his blocks.
His anchor is very strong and it makes it tough for defenders to get past him when he is pass blocking. He keeps good leverage and doesn’t get moved off his spot. Booker is able to handle powerful pass rushers, including ones who try to convert speed to power. In a phone booth, Booker holds up well because of his strength in pass pro.
Booker is just an average athlete for a player that is projected to be selected so early. He doesn’t have great burst at the snap of the ball and can be beaten by defenders who have a quicker first step. He can move decently in a straight-line, but won’t wow in that regard either. He can really struggle to move laterally, which makes it tough for him in space.
He can handle powerful edge rushers, but he can struggle with more athletic ones. Booker struggles to mirror athletic pass rushers, as he has limited foot speed. He doesn’t have great recovery speed either, which means players who get a step on him can get past him and to the quarterback. His technique and power will have to help him win his matchups.
His run blocking is great, but he can struggle in space. Booker can get to the second level, but it might take him longer than other prospects. When he has to move laterally, it gives him trouble, so players can evade his blocks. He won’t be great on screens and pulls because of his problems with lateral mobility.
