The 2025 NFL Draft will be a great event for teams to start building for their future. Here is the Tetairoa McMillan NFL Draft Profile.
Position: Wide Receiver
School: Arizona
Size: 6-foot-5, 212 pounds

2024 stats: 84 receptions, 1,319 receiving yards, 8 touchdown catches, 15.7 yards per catch
McMillan was a four-star recruit out of California who signed with Arizona in the class of 2022. He immediately created an impact for the Wildcats, as he had 39 receptions for 702 yards and eight touchdowns. Arizona won five games that season. As a sophomore, McMillan caught 90 passes for 1,402 yards and 10 touchdowns. His play helped the Wildcats win 10 games. For the 2024 season, McMillan hauled in 84 balls for 1,319 yards and eight touchdowns. While he played well, Arizona struggled, winning just four games.
Following the season, he decided to forego his remaining eligibility and declare for the 2025 NFL Draft. He is a projected first round pick.
McMillan is a big wide receiver, even for NFL standards. He stands at 6-foot-5 and 212 pounds, making him a matchup problem for most corners. With his size comes solid play strength, although he could add to his frame, which he uses to his advantage. He also has a huge catch radius, in large part due to his size. His size and catch radius helps him be a great red zone target for his team.
He has the potential to be a big play threat at the NFL level for a few reasons. McMillan gets downfield and tracks deep balls well. He is then able to high-point the ball and bring it down, even if it is in the middle of traffic. In one on one situations, quarterbacks can trust him to come down with the football.
His hands are some of the more reliable ones in the class. McMillan rarely has any drops, as he focuses well. He is able to make catches off frame, which includes some pretty incredible plays. As mentioned, he tracks the ball well in the air and is able to high point the football. He can make contested catches as well, making him a trusted target for quarterbacks.
McMillan is not the shiftiest route runner and could struggle to get separation at the NFL level. He can struggle to change directions quickly and corners are able to stick with him more easily than other receivers. McMillan can do a better job changing speeds to throw defenders off and he can also find the soft spot against zone coverage better. While he has a decent route tree, improving his route-runner would help him not have to rely on so many contested catches.
He won’t wow people running after the catch. McMillan can build up to a nice speed for a player of his size, but it takes a while, as he lacks acceleration. He also isn’t the most elusive and is best served running in more of a straight line to use his size rather than changing direction and eluding defenders.
His speed is decent for a player of his size, but he lacks blazing speed. Corners won’t often have a hard time running with him to the deep parts of the field. He can still stretch defenses, but it will be because of his ability to win contested catches and win 50-50 balls.
