1. Drew Allar, QB, Penn State Nittany Lions
Penn State lost two games this season. One was to Ohio State, while the other was this week in the Big Ten Championship against Oregon. Their offense moved the ball well, but had some critical mistakes. Drew Allar finished the game 20/39 passing for 226 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions.
Allar showed some flashes of good play, but ultimately the interceptions were costly. He has struggled in big games and this was no different. Allar could go pro and possibly be a mid-round pick or could go back to school to work on his game some more.
2. Evan Stewart, WR, Oregon Ducks
Oregon kept their undefeated season going by beating Penn State in the Big Ten Championship Game. The offense lived up to the hype, as they scored 45 points to win the game. Unfortunately, Evan Stewart did not make a huge impact on the game.
Stewart has a lot of talent, but has failed to live up to the hype consistently in his career. He is undersized, but has good athletic ability. Stewart still has college eligibility left and could return to school to improve his stock. He is a projected mid-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
3. Tate Ratledge, IOL, Georgia Bulldogs
Georgia won the SEC Championship Game over Texas to lock up their spot in the CFP. It was tough to move the ball for both sides. There was good play on the offensive line, especially from Tate Ratledge. He helped Georgia pass for 136 yards and rush for 141.
In this game, Ratledge demonstrated his good strength in the run game by clearing big holes. He also held up well in pass protection. His play has been better down the stretch after being injured earlier in the season. He is currently projected to be a mid-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
4. Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas Longhorns
Texas lost their second game of the season in the SEC Championship Game. Both losses were to Georgia. The defense did their part, as they held Georgia to 136 passing yards. Jahdae Barron personally had a good game as well, registering five tackles, one pass defended and one interception.
Barron showed off his versatility and ball skills in this game. He has been one of the most impactful secondary players in the country this season and put his team in a position to win, even though they came up just short. He is a projected first or second-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
5. Barrett Carter, LB, Clemson Tigers
Clemson lost three games this season, but won the ACC Championship to punch their ticket to the CFP. They haven’t had an elite defense like past years, but they have some talented players. Barrett Carter had a good game for the Tigers, registering five total tackles and a pass defended.
Carter has shown good athleticism and the ability to cover. While he is undersized, he has good pursuit of the football. He could diagnose plays faster to help his stock. Currently, he is a projected day two pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
