While the 2027 NFL Draft is still far off in the distance, players who will be drafted early are on the field now. Each week presents unique matchups for draft prospects and this week is no different. Here are NFL Draft prospects to watch in college football week 7.
Becker joined Indiana in 2024 and came on strong in 2025 down the stretch for the Hoosiers. He had 679 receiving yards and four touchdowns, averaging 20.0 yards per reception along the way. This season he has 30 catches for 529 yards and eight touchdowns through six games. He will have his work cut out for him against a good Ohio State defense this week.
At 6-foot-4 and 207 pounds, he has good size for an NFL receiver. Becker has good speed as well to stretch the field vertically. He tracks the ball well and can make contested catches. He is a good downfield threat, but can keep working on getting open underneath and providing more after the catch. Becker is currently projected to be a first-round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.
Jackson has been suiting up for Ohio State since the 2022 season. The last two seasons have really given him a chance to shine. In 2025, he had 11 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks. So far this season, Jackson has 3.5 tackles for loss and three sacks. He will have some battles against a good Indiana team and some solid starting tackles.
He stands at 6-foot-6 and 265 pounds, giving him good size for the position. Jackson has solid length for the position too. He has solid burst at the snap and can bend around the edge. Jackson provides solid run defense as well. He can finish as a tackler more and add more pass rush moves to his game to help his stock. Jackson is currently projected to be a day two pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.
Carr joined Notre Dame in 2024, but didn’t play until 2025. That season, he passed for 2,741 yards, 24 touchdowns and six interceptions on 66.6 percent completion. His play helped Notre Dame win 10 games. So far in 2026, Carr has passed for 1,378 yards, 16 touchdowns and one interception on 70.8 percent completion. This week, he will have one of his toughest tests of the season, as the Fighting Irish play BYU.
At 6-foot-2 and 215 pounds, Carr won’t be the biggest quarterback, but he has enough size to hold up. Carr has solid, but not great arm talent, but really thrives with his accuracy. He also makes good decisions with the football and is capable of manipulating defenders with his eyes. Carr can have too much faith in his arm at times and is an average athlete for the position. Currently, he is projected to be a first-round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.
Baugh was a coveted recruit who signed with Florida in 2024, rushing for 673 yards that season. In 2025, he upped his production to 1,170 rushing yards and eight touchdowns. So far this season, Baugh has rushed for 672 yards and 12 touchdowns. In Week 7, Baugh will be going up against a tough Texas defense.
His size is great for an NFL running back, as he stands at 6 feet and 228 pounds. With his size comes good power and contact balance to be a good short-yardage back and a lot more than that. He has solid quickness for his size. Baugh doesn’t always hit home runs as a runner, lacking top-end speed and won’t be the most elusive running back, but he needs to run over defenders instead of around them anyways. He is currently projected to be a first- or second-round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.
Heard started his college career in 2023 with LSU where he started one game. He then transferred to Tennessee, where he played left tackle for two seasons, earning Third Team All-SEC honors for his play. Before the 2026 season, he transferred to Kentucky, where he has played well to start the season. He will be going up a great Oklahoma defense in Week 7.
At 6-foot-6 and 325 pounds, Heard has great size, strength and length for an NFL offensive tackle. He anchors well in pass pro and shows decent recovery ability for his size. Heard has been destroying people in the run game, specifically when he is used as a puller or in space. He will need to work on keeping his balance, limiting penalties and refining his hand work. Heard is currently projected to be a first or second-round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.
