1. Trevor Goosby, OT, Texas Longhorns

Texas had a hard time getting things going on offense against Ohio State. Things turned around after about 30 minutes of game time and the Longhorns mounted a comeback against the Buckeyes. The offensive line played well throughout, with Trevor Goosby shining and helping the team get the big win.

Goosby has the size and athleticism to hold up well in the NFL, showing that in this game. He made some key blocks in the running game, clearing space and showing strength in the process. Goosby also has some skills as a pass protector. If he can keep his pad level down and see pressure faster this season, his stock will rise even higher, which is hard to do because he is projected to go somewhat early in the first round of the 2027 NFL Draft.

2. Julian Sayin, QB, Ohio State Buckeyes

Ohio State built a good lead, but couldn’t finish the game off. The offense stalled in the second half, but Julian Sayin did play relatively well throughout. He finished the game 17/32 passing for 278 yards, one touchdown and one interception. At the end of the game, Sayin got Ohio State into field goal range with a chance to ice the game, but the kick was missed.

Sayin made some nice throws that showed off both his processing ability and accuracy. He throws with anticipation, which allows him to hit receivers when they are open, even if sometimes he throws to Jeremiah Smith in tight windows and lets him figure it out. The arm talent will not be elite and he is smaller, but Sayin had a solid game against a good defense and can keep building on that to increase his draft stock.

3. John Henry Daley, EDGE, Michigan Wolverines

Michigan rebounded from a rough Week 1 in which they nearly lost to Western Michigan. They defeated Oklahoma 17-10 with their defense playing well for the second straight week. John Henry Daley was a big part of the defense this week. He finished the game with eight total tackles, one sack and three tackles for loss.

Daley didn’t do much in week 1, so his ability to step up against better competition in week 2 is encouraging. He not only generated pressure, he made an impact against the run and even got his hands into passing lanes, batting down a pass as well. Daley has solid size and he’ll need to keep making plays down the stretch to help his stock. He is currently projected to be a day two pick.

4. David Stone, DL, Oklahoma Sooners

Oklahoma’s defense played relatively well, as their offense didn’t set them up well in their 17-10 loss to Michigan. The defense did lose contain on Bryce Underwood a few times, but overall did solidly. David Stone didn’t have his best game, but he did register three total tackles and 0.5 tackles for loss.

Stone’s impact was greater than the output in the box score, as he did a good job of creating havoc up front. His burst at the snap gave him a good jump on a lot of plays. He was able to shoot gaps and really help limit the Michigan running game. Stone can continue to improve his pass rushing down the stretch of the season. He is currently projected to be a first-round pick.

5. Tavion Gadson, DL, Kentucky Wildcats

Kentucky was leading at the half against Alabama, but things fell apart after that. The defense played well up to a point. One of the bright spots of the game for Kentucky was defensive lineman Tavion Gadson. He finished the game with five total tackles, 1.5 sacks and two tackles for loss.

Gadson made his impact as a pass rusher with his sacks, but also defended a pass by getting his hands up as well. He still needs to improve his run defense and show that he can play more snaps, but Gadson has a good start to the season. He is currently projected to be a day two pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.
