While the 2021 NFL Draft is still far off in the distance, players that will be drafted early are on the field now. Each week presents unique matchups for draft prospects and this week is no different. Here are NFL Draft prospects to watch in college football week 2 recap.

1. D’Eriq King, QB, Miami Hurricanes
The Hurricanes started off the game against UAB slow, but they ended up winning by a comfortable margin. King was a big part of that, as he went 16 of 24 passing for 144 yards and a touchdown. He added 83 rushing yards and another score on the ground, as they won 31-14.
This game was good for King to show that he improved his accuracy. His dual-threat abilities have always been there, but it has been severely slanted towards his legs rather than his arm. During the rest of the ACC season, King will have to prove he has the arm of an NFL quarterback or he may have to change positions and play wide receiver at the next level.
2. Marvin Wilson, DL, Florida State Seminoles
Florida State had a rough day this weekend, losing to Georgia Tech 16-13. The Seminoles played well on defense, but got no help from their offense. With that, Marvin Wilson played well. He didn’t have a lot of impact plays, but as an interior defensive lineman he was disruptive. Wilson finished the game with three total tackles and a quarterback hurry.
He is in the conversation to be one of the best interior defensive linemen in the class, so Wilson will need to prove that with more impact plays over the coming weeks. If he can create havoc for teams in the ACC he has a chance to be a top 15 pick.
3. Travis Etienne, RB, Clemson Tigers
Clemson did just about what everyone expected them to do, as they defeated Wake Forest, 37-17. Etienne had a great game with 17 carries for 102 yards and a touchdown. He was not needed for much of the second half, as the game was already in hand, but Etienne also had three receptions for 47 yards.
Since Etienne was highly-touted last season, all he needs to do this year is stay consistent and healthy. Clemson won’t want to put too much wear and tear on him, as that could be something that hurts his draft value. He is still in play to be one of the first backs selected in the 2021 NFL Draft.
4. Carlos Basham Jr., Edge, Wake Forest Demon Deacons
There wasn’t much Basham could do to stop Clemson. They were a much superior team, but Basham did have a good game himself. He had two total tackles, one tackle for loss and one sack on the day. That is great, especially against Clemson, who has a solid offensive line.
Basham is currently in the running to be a first-round draft pick. Gregory Rousseau will likely be the first edge rusher drafted, but if Basham continues to rack up sacks, he could be the second one taken in the 2021 NFL Draft.
5. Andre Cisco, S, Syracuse Orange
Syracuse was outmatched against North Carolina. The Tar Heels won the game 31-6. Cisco is not at fault for the loss though, as he had some big plays. He registered three tackles, 0.5 tackles for loss and had an interception. Cisco was able to show off his ball-hawking skills, as he read the quarterback’s eyes and did a great job of making a play on the ball on his interception.
There are a lot of good safeties in the 2021 NFL Draft class. Cisco is an expert at making plays on the ball and that could help him jockey for position with other great safeties. He is certainly in play to be the first safety selected if he plays well the rest of the way.
