While the 2023 NFL Draft is still far off in the distance, players who will be drafted early are on the field now. Each week presents unique matchups for draft prospects and this week is no different. Here are NFL Draft prospects to watch in college football week 11.
Michigan has had a great season thus far, as they are undefeated. Their defense has played extremely well, especially upfront. Jenkins has been a big part of that for the Wolverines. This season, he has 20 total tackles and 1.5 sacks.
In week 11, Michigan takes on Penn State in their biggest game of the season thus far. If they can shut down the run, it will be tough for Penn State to score at all. Jenkins can fill running lanes and really make things difficult for opposing blockers. He is currently projected to be a second-round pick, but could improve his stock down the stretch.
Penn State has only one loss on the season and still has plenty to play for this year. Their defense has been standing out over their offense. That includes corner Kalen King. So far this season, King has registered 25 total tackles and two passes defended.
King can play a critical part in shutting down Michigan’s passing game. He has been a shutdown corner, but could show better ball skills. Either way, King has built up his stock this season. He is currently projected to be selected in the first half of the first round.
Georgia has remained undefeated through 10 weeks of the college football season. Their offense took some time to figure things out, but is now rolling. They haven’t had starting tackle Amarius Mims for a lot of the season due to injury, but he is likely coming back this week. That could really take their offense to a new level.
In week 11, Georgia takes on Ole Miss, who still has just one loss on the year. If Mims is healthy enough to play, he could be great for helping the Bulldogs establish the run. Mims is extremely talented, but has received limited reps during his career. He needs to get healthy and get some good tape out. Mims is still expected to be a first-round pick, but could solidify that by playing well down the stretch.
Oregon still only has one loss on the season. A lot of that is thanks to their solid defensive efforts. Brandon Dorlus has been a versatile defensive lineman that has helped them reach their goals. He has 19 total tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss and four sacks.
In week 11, the Ducks will take on the reeling USC Trojans. While USC is losing, their offense is still high-powered, which means Oregon will need to slow them down. Dorlus can help by getting pressure on the quarterback. If he plays well in this game and for the rest of the season, he could ensure he is a day two pick.
Washington has won some big games and is undefeated this season as they look to make a push for the CFP. Their offense has been great with their receiver room having plenty of talented players. Ja’Lynn Polk has been one of their standouts. He has 51 catches for 888 yards and eight touchdowns this season.
This week the Huskies play Utah. Utah will be a physical team and Washington will need Polk to help stretch the field. He has solid size and production this season. It is a deep receiver class, so Polk can help his stock by playing well down the stretch. Currently he is a projected day two pick.
