The bowl season gives fans and scouts alike a chance to analyze NFL Draft prospects against solid competition. Bowl scheduling allows all eyes to be on each game. Here are the NFL Draft prospects in the 2025 Sun Bowl.
CJ Fite, DL
Fite joined Arizona State in 2023. He played sparingly as a freshman, registering 15 total tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss. In 2024, he registered 30 total tackles, four tackles for loss and two sacks. This season, Fite has totaled 28 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss and one sack.
At 6-foot-2 and 3o5 pounds, Fite has decent size for an NFL defensive lineman. He is just a junior so returning to school to work on his body and his production can help his stock.
Projected Draft Range: Fourth Round Pick-Sixth Round Pick
Kanye Udoh, RB
Udoh played the first two seasons of his college career at Army. He rushed for 1,641 yards and 11 touchdowns as a member of the Black Knights. Before the 2025 season, Udoh transferred to Arizona State. With the Sun Devils, he has rushed for 240 yards and two touchdowns.
He stands at 6-foot-1 and 220 pounds, which is great size for an NFL running back. His power is enticing, but he is just a junior and didn’t produce a lot in his first season as a Sun Devil. Returning to school for one more season is likely a smart move.
Projected Draft Range: Sixth Round Pick-Undrafted Free Agent
Other Draft Prospects: WR Malik McClain (UFA), TE Chamon Metayer (UFA)
Opt-outs/Injuries: WR Jordyn Tyson (1st), CB Keith Abney (2nd-4th), OT Max Iheanachor (4th-6th), RB Raleek Brown (6th-UFA)
Cooper Barkate, WR
Barkate started his college career at Harvard for the first three seasons. After impressing at the FCS level, he transferred up to the FBS level this season to play for Duke. As a Blue Devil, Barkate has caught 68 passes for 1,069 yards and six touchdowns.
He stands at 6-foot-1 and 195 pounds, so he’ll need to continue to fill out his frame for the next level. His production at Harvard and at Duke is worth looking into for NFL teams. If he can play special teams, he will increase his chance of making a roster.
Projected Draft Range: Sixth Round Pick-Undrafted Free Agent
Wesley Williams, EDGE
Williams joined Duke during the 2022 season. He didn’t play much in 2022, but then registered 39 total tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks in 2023. For the 2024 season, Williams produced 48 total tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks. This season, Williams has done ok with 41 total tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss and two sacks.
At 6-foot-3 and 265 pounds, his length will come into question, but he has a filled-out frame. His production was better after the 2024 season, but Williams has played well during his college career. He could return to school for another year to build his stock up.
Projected Draft Range: Sixth Round Pick-Undrafted Free Agent
Other Draft Prospects: S Terry Moore (UFA), WR Andrel Anthony (UFA)
Opt-outs/Injuries: CB Chandler Rivers (2nd-4th), OT Brian Parker (2nd-4th), EDGE Vincent Anthony (6th-UFA)
