The bowl season gives fans and scouts alike a chance to analyze NFL Draft prospects against solid competition. Bowl scheduling allows all eyes to be on each game. Here are the NFL Draft prospects in the 2025 Sheraton Hawai’i Bowl.
Hezekiah Masses, CB
Masses started his college career at Florida International in 2022. He saw playing time early for the Panthers, registering 25 total tackles and four passes defended. Masses built on that in 2023, as he had 42 total tackles, one interception and four passes defended. In 2024, Masses tallied 38 total tackles, one interception and four passes defended. He transferred to Cal for the 2025 season and delivered. He was a First Team All-ACC selection with 43 total tackles, 13 passes defended and five interceptions.
At 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, Masses has a good frame for a corner, but needs to continue to fill it out to handle the physicality of the NFL. He showed off his ball skills this year and his ability to be in position to make that many plays on the ball has really elevated his stock. Masses could be a mid to late round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Projected Draft Range: Fourth Round Pick-Sixth Round Pick
Jayden Wayne, EDGE
Wayne was a four-star recruit who started his career at Miami. He had 13 total tackles, 0.5 tackles for loss and 0.5 sacks on the season. In 2024, Wayne transferred to Washington and posted six total tackles. He moved on to California in 2025, amassing 24 total tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and two sacks on the season.
At 6-foot-5 and 255 pounds, Wayne has good size for an NFL edge rusher. He has not had great pass rushing production in his career so far. Wayne is just a junior, so a return to college to continue to build up his stock is likely.
Projected Draft Range: Undrafted Free Agent
Other Draft Prospects: LB Cade Uluave (UFA)
Landon Sims, RB
Sims joined Hawaii back in 2021, but didn’t start making a huge impact until 2023. That season, he had 255 rusihng yards, 106 receiving yards and one touchdown. In 2024, he improved to total 351 rushing yards, 153 receiving yards and one touchdown. This season has been his best yet, as he has 511 rushing yards, 223 receiving yards and five touchdowns.
He has great size for a running back at 6-foot-2 and 220 pounds. Sims is a versatile player, as he has played both running back and tight end in his career. With some work a move to being a fullback or H-back in the NFL could help his value.
Projected Draft Range: Undrafted Free Agent
Pofele Ashlock, WR
Ashlock joined Hawai’i in 2022 as a freshman and redshirted. He made an impact in 2023 with 83 receptions for 832 yards and nine touchdowns. In 2024, he caught 61 passes for 629 yards and six touchdowns. This season, he has played solidly again with 53 receptions for 635 yards and five touchdowns.
At 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds, Ashlock has a good frame for an NFL receiver and can continue filling it out. He has great production during his time at Hawai’i in a pass-happy offense. Ashlock still has eligibility remaining and a return to school could help him elevate his draft stock.
Projected Draft Range: Undrafted Free Agent
Other Draft Prospects: EDGE Jackie Johnson III (UFA)
