The bowl season gives fans and scouts alike a chance to analyze NFL Draft prospects against solid competition. Bowl scheduling allows all eyes to be on each game. Here are the NFL Draft prospects in the 2025 New Orleans Bowl.
Laurence Seymore, IOL
Seymore was a four-star prospect who signed with Miami out of high school. He had three starts in two seasons with the Hurricanes and then transferred to Akron. Seymore started five games in 2024 after redshirting in 2023. He transferred to Western Kentucky for the 2025 season. His play earned him Second Team All-C-USA honors.
He stands at 6-foot-2 and 330 pounds, which is shorter than most interior players, but he at least has a filled-out frame. His lack of desirable measurables and so few college starts hurts his potential of making a roster. This season is a step in the right direction and he may be able to develop further if he can find his way to a practice squad.
Projected Draft Range: Undrafted Free Agent
Matthew Henry, WR Henry has worked his way up the college football ladder during his college career. He started his career at D-II level Livingstone college. Henry then transferred up to Western Illinois to play at the FCS level. In his last season at Western Illinois, Henry had 1,211 yards and six touchdowns. For the 2025 season with WKU, Henry caught 48 passes for 762 yards and six touchdowns.
At 6-foot and 180 pounds, Henry isn’t the biggest receiver. He will need to fill out his frame a bit more for the NFL level. His production at multiple levels of college football will be appealing. Henry will have to impress a team in camp for a shot at making a practice squad this season.
Projected Draft Range: Undrafted Free Agent
Josh Moten, CB Moten started his college career at Texas A&M, where he spent the 2020-2022 seasons. He played sparingly, then transferred to Marshall for the 2023 season. In 2023, he had 30 total tackles, one interception and six passes defended for the Thundering Herd. For the 2024 season, Moten had 38 total tackles, five interceptions and five passes defended. He transferred to Marshall, following head coach Charles Huff. Moten totaled nine passes defended and five interceptions in 2025.
At 6-foot and 185 pounds, Moten is a little undersized for an NFL cornerback. He can continue to fill out his frame to help his chance of success at the next level. His ball skills continually showed up throughout his college career and that trait could draw the interest of NFL teams.
Projected Draft Range: Sixth Round Pick-Undrafted Free Agent
Jabari Ishmael, EDGE Ishmael spent the 2021 and 2022 seasons with Miami, but didn’t play much. He transferred to Marshall in 2023. Over two seasons at Marshall, Ishmael had four tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. He made a move to join Southern Miss for the 2025 season. Ishmael has two tackles for loss and 0.5 sacks this season.
He stands at 6-foot-6 and 270 pounds, which is excellent size for an NFL edge rusher. His lack of pass-rushing production will make it tough for him to get drafted. He still could get a chance to make a practice squad if a team believes that his potential wasn’t successfully tapped into at the college level.
Projected Draft Range: Undrafted Free Agent
