The bowl season gives fans and scouts alike a chance to analyze NFL Draft prospects against solid competition. Bowl scheduling allows all eyes to be on each game. Here are the NFL Draft prospects in the 2025 First Responder Bowl.
Kejon Owens, RB
Owens joined the FIU football program in 2021. He didn’t play much in his first two seasons with the team, but then broke out in 2023. Owens rushed for 453 yards and five touchdowns that season. In 2024, he rushed for 392 yards and five touchdowns. His production increased in 2025, as he finished the season with 1,298 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns.
At 5-foot-11 and 210 pounds, Owens has good size for an NFL running back. His growth this season has been nice, but there will be questions about why he had such a late breakout. He will need to prove himself in a preseason camp for an NFL team to make a roster.
Projected Draft Range: Undrafted Free Agent
Alex Perry, WR
Perry started his college career at Hawai’i, where he redshirted in his first season. Over the three seasons he was with the Rainbow Warriors, Perry caught 48 passes for 491 yards and three touchdowns. He transferred to FIU for the 2025 season. Perry had a great season, catching 53 passes for 816 yards and nine touchdowns.
He stands at 6-foot-5 and 210 pounds, which is great for an NFL receiver. Perry uses his size well and the production he saw this season with the Panthers can help boost his draft stock. He is just a redshirt junior, so a return to school to further build on his production could be the smart move.
Projected Draft Range: Undrafted Free Agent
Robert Henry, RB
Henry started his college career at the JUCO level, where he was very productive. He joined UTSA in 2023 and hit the ground running. In 2023, Henry rushed for 588 yards and 11 touchdowns. For the 2024 season, Henry upped his production, finishing the season with 706 rushing yards and seven touchdowns. This season, Henry has amassed 1,045 rushing yards and nine touchdowns on the ground.
At 5-foot-9, Henry is a shorter running back, but he has a full-figured frame at 205 pounds. He runs hard and even has some receiving production throughout his time at UTSA. There is a chance he is drafted, but if not he will be signed as an undrafted free agent.
Projected Draft Range: Sixth Round Pick-Undrafted Free Agent
Owen McCown, QB
McCown was a quarterback at Colorado in 2022. He played in four games, preserving his redshirt. McCown passed for 600 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions on 57 percent completion. He transferred to UTSA for the 2023 season. McCown played in seven games, passing for 442 yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions on 74.1 percent completion. He started the whole season in 2024, showing his growth with 3,424 passing yards, 25 touchdowns and 10 interceptions on 63 percent completion. This season has been a good one for McCown, as he has passed for 2,700 yards, 27 touchdowns and seven interceptions on 67.8 percent completion.
At 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds, McCown is undersized for an NFL quarterback. He has plenty of experience over the last few seasons for the Roadrunners. McCown is trying to follow in his father Josh’s footsteps to play in the NFL, but will likely have to do it as an undrafted free agent.
Projected Draft Range: Undrafted Free Agent
