The bowl season gives fans and scouts alike a chance to analyze NFL Draft prospects against solid competition. Bowl scheduling allows all eyes to be on each game. Here are the NFL Draft prospects in the 2022 Military Bowl.
UCF Knights Draft Prospects
Kemore Gamble, TE
Gamble started his career at Florida before transferring to UCF for this season. He has 55 catches for 750 yards and seven touchdowns in his career. This season, he has seven catches for 118 yards in 10 games played.
At 6-foot-4 and 243 pounds, Gamble will need to add strength to be a good in-line tight end. This season’s production wasn’t great, but he has produced in the past. He will likely not get drafted, but could have a chance to make an NFL roster.
Projected Draft Range: Undrafted Free Agent
Isaiah Bowser, RB
Bowser signed to play with Northwestern out of high school, but then transferred to UCF for the last two seasons. In his career, he has rushed for 2,763 yards and 30 touchdowns. For the 2022 season, Bowser has rushed for 760 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also has 45 catches for 413 yards and one touchdown in his collegiate career.
His size, at 6-foot-1 and 225 pounds, allows him to be a good power running back. He can be successful in short-yardage situations, as he runs through arm tackles with good contact balance. His limited ability as a receiver may hold back his draft stock.
Projected Draft Range: Undrafted Free Agent
Duke Blue Devils Draft Prospects
DeWayne Carter, DL
Carter has spent his entire career at Duke and has been a really good player for them over the last two seasons. He has 83 total tackles, 21 tackles for loss and 11 sacks in his career. This season, Carter has tallied 35 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks.
He has solid size for an NFL defensive lineman at 6-foot-3 and 300 pounds. His sack production for an interior defensive lineman is encouraging. He hasn’t been too bad against the run either and looks like he can fit right in as a rotational defensive lineman at the next level.
Projected Draft Range: Fifth Round Pick-Seventh Round Pick
Graham Barton, OT
Barton joined the Duke program in 2020 as a three-star prospect. He started five games at center that season. In 2021, Barton made the move to left tackle and started all 12 games. He returned to the left tackle spot in 2022 and was named First Team All-ACC.
At 6-foot-5 and 311 pounds, Barton has solid size for the offensive line. His versatility will be noted, as he may be asked to move back inside if his arms don’t measure at a desired length. He still has eligibility remaining and could return to further improve his draft stock.
Projected Draft Range: Sixth Round Pick-Undrafted Free Agent
