The bowl season gives fans and scouts alike a chance to analyze NFL Draft prospects against solid competition. Bowl scheduling allows all eyes to be on each game. Here are the NFL Draft prospects in the 2022 Barstool Arizona Bowl.
Ohio Bobcats Draft Prospects
Sam Wiglusz, WR
Wiglusz played at Ohio State for three seasons before transferring to Ohio for this season. He did not see the field much for the Buckeyes, but has been productive for the Bobcats. He has 69 catches for 850 yards and 11 touchdowns.
He is below the average size for an NFL wide receiver at 5-foot-11 and 188 pounds. Wiglusz may need to move into the slot at the next level to get a chance. He still has eligibility remaining, so he can return to college and add another year of production under his belt.
Projected Draft Range: Undrafted Free Agent
Jacoby Jones, WR
Jones started his career off at JUCO before spending this season at Ohio. He was honored on several All-Conference teams at the JUCO level. This season for the Bobcats, Jones has hauled in 42 passes for 733 yards and five touchdowns.
At 6-foot-1 and 221 pounds, Jones has solid size for an NFL wide receiver. He has proven to be a big-play threat for the Bobcats in his one season at the FBS level. Jones still has eligibility remaining and will probably return to school for another season.
Projected Draft Range: Undrafted Free Agent
*QB Kurtis Rourke will miss this game with an injury. He is a projected late-round pick or undrafted free agent.
Wyoming Cowboys Draft Prospects
Easton Gibbs, LB
Gibbs has played for the Cowboys for three seasons and has improved every season with the team. In his career, he has 242 total tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss and four sacks. This season, Gibbs has registered 111 total tackles, eight tackles for loss and two sacks.
At 6-foot-2 and 227 pounds, he will likely need to add strength for the next level. He has shown a knack for diagnosing plays and flying to the ball and making tackles. With some eligibility remaining, Gibbs will likely return to school.
Projected Draft Range: Sixth Round Pick-Undrafted Free Agent
DeVonne Harris, EDGE
Although he has been at Wyoming for three seasons, he has really stepped up his game this season. In his time as a Cowboy, he has 63 total tackles, 14 tackles for loss and eight sacks. During the 2022 season, Harris has 50 total tackles, 13 tackles for loss and eight sacks.
At 6-foot-4 and 223 pounds, Harris will need to add plenty of mass to his frame to keep up in the NFL. His sack production from this season has put him on the radar for the prose. He still likely needs to return to school next season to work on his game.
Projected Draft Range: Undrafted Free Agent
