Position: Interior Offensive Line
School: Georgia Tech
Size: 6-foot-3 5/8, 316 pounds
Class: Senior
2025 stats: Third Team All-American, First Team All-ACC
Rutledge was a three-star recruit who signed with Middle Tennessee out of Georgia in the class of 2022. He started six games as a freshman. In 2023, Rutledge stepped into the starting lineup and was a First Team All-C-USA selection. The team struggled despite, Rutledge’s good play and he decided to transfer to Georgia Tech. In 2024, he was a First Team All-ACC selection for his play, as the Yellow Jackets won seven games. The 2025 season saw Georgia Tech win nine games with Rutledge leading the way as a Third Team All-American.
Following the season, Rutledge has been preparing for the 2026 NFL Draft. He is a projected first to third round pick.
Rutledge has solid size and measurables for an NFL guard. He measured in at over 6-foot-3 and 316 pounds at the NFL Combine. With his size comes great play strength on the interior. He also had long arms that measured in over 33 inches. His strength and length will have him fitting right in on an NFL offensive line.
He is specifically impressive as a run blocker. Rutledge gets a good start to the play and maintains his leverage. He is able to move defenders out of the way and create big holes for running backs. Rutledge isn’t the greatest athlete, but can make blocks in space decently well, as he gets to the second level decently.
His pass blocking can use some work, but he has a good anchor. Rutledge can handle pass rushers on the interior trying to push him back into the pocket by holding his ground. He will not be an easy target for NFL defensive linemen to bull rush.
Rutledge has just average athleticism for the NFL. He can struggle to move laterally, which impacts him as both a pass blocker and run blocker. Rutledge is best playing in a phone booth and even his best work as a run blocker at the second level is when he has a clear forward path.
His ability to mirror quick pass rushers is questionable. He doesn’t have the agility to stay with them at times and can give up his edges. Players who have good counters to get him going one way, then cutting back the other way, can take advantage of him.
He needs to trust his technique more, as he lunges too much. Rutledge has a great mentality for blocking, but sometimes can lunge before his target is within range. As a run blocker, he can miss guys because he goes too early and the same thing happens as a pass blocker.
Projected Draft Range: First Round Pick-Third Round Pick
Draft Grade: Third Round Pick
