The 2026 NFL Draft will be a great event for teams to start building for their future. Here is the KC Concepcion NFL Draft Profile.
Position: Wide Receiver
School: Texas A&M
Size: 6-foot, 196 Pounds
Class: Junior
2025 stats: 61 receptions, 919 receiving yards, 9 touchdown catches, 15.1 yards per reception, 10 carries, 75 rushing yards, 1 rushing touchdown
Concepcion was a three-star recruit in the class of 2023 who decided to stay in-state to play for NC State. He impressed as a freshman, registering 71 catches for 839 yards and 10 touchdown catches. Concepcion helped the team win nine games that season. The following year, Concepcion didn’t produce as much, finishing the year with 53 catches for 460 yards and six touchdowns. NC State won six games that season and Concepcion entered the transfer portal. In 2025, he suited up for Texas A&M. For his lone season as an Aggie, he caught 61 passes for 919 yards and nine touchdowns. He led the Aggies to an 11-win season and to the CFP.
Following the CFP appearance, Concepcion declared for the 2026 NFL Draft. He is currently projected to be a first or second-round pick.
Concepcion has good athleticism for the position in multiple ways. He has great acceleration at the start of plays, which helps him get an early edge. Concepcion uses that acceleration to build up to good top-end speed. He also has good agility and body control, making him a tough matchup.
He is a great route runner. Concepcion has solid releases at the line of scrimmage to help him create separation. He has good acceleration and agility to help him in that regard. Concepcion gets in and out of his breaks quickly. He can run plenty of different routes and leave defenders in the dust. Concepcion can add some more nuance to his route running, but he is at a great starting point.
His ability to run after the catch is among the best in the class. NC State and Texas A&M gave him the ball in a variety of ways to maximize this ability. He has good open-field vision and runs to open space. Concepcion is so elusive, making defenders miss and picking up extra yards. He is a threat to make the most out of each catch.
Concepcion will need to fill out his frame a bit more. He measured at 6 feet and 196 pounds at the combine, but it looked like he played at a smaller weight. Concepcion measured with under 31-inch arms, so his catch radius will be limited. He will need to add some play strength to help him play through contact.
He struggled with drops and inconsistencies throughout his career. Concepcion has some drops when he goes over the middle, but he also had some focus drops. He isn’t a player who will make a ton of contested catches, but he needs to focus when the ball is coming in, whether that is in a contested situation or not. Cutting down on his seven drops last season is a must.
His run blocking will not provide much value. Concepcion needs to add more strength to help him with this, but he also needs to work on his technique. Concepcion can show more effort as a blocker as well to help his team even when he doesn’t have the ball in his hands.
Projected Draft Range: First Round Pick-Second Round Pick
Draft Grade: Second Round Pick
