Jordan Morgan 2024 NFL Draft Profile

Publish Date: April 22, 2024

The 2024 NFL Draft will be a great event for teams to start building for their future. Here is the Jordan Morgan 2024 NFL Draft Profile.

Jordan Morgan Background

Position: Offensive Tackle

School: Arizona

Size: 6-foot-5, 325 pounds

Class: Redshirt Senior

2023 stats: All-Pac-12 First Team

Morgan has earned plenty of experience in college football over the last few seasons. Now he is in the 2024 NFL Draft.

As a three-star prospect in the class of 2019, Morgan decided to stay in-state and sign with Arizona. He was mostly a reserve in his first season, but did start two games. Morgan started in 2020, but missed three of the five games of a season that was shortened due to COVID. For the 2021 season, Morgan missed the opener, but started 11 games for the Wildcats. Although he played decently, Arizona won just one game that season. Things were better for Morgan and the team in 2022. The Wildcats won five games and he was named First Team All-Pac-12. In 2023, Morgan was named First Team All-Pac-12 again and his play helped Arizona to improve to a 10-win season.

Following the season, Morgan declared for the 2024 NFL Draft. He is currently projected to be a first or second-round pick.

Jordan Morgan Strengths

Morgan is a good athlete, which will translate to the next level. He gets a good jump at the snap and can engage in blocks quickly. In space, he is able to cover ground and make blocks on moving targets, as they struggle to evade him. He also has the ability to move laterally, which helps him mirror pass rushers and keep them in front of him.

He has solid strength and power that he puts on display. Morgan is able to clear holes in the running game and finish plays well. He can sustain blocks with good grip strength. In pass protection, he has a strong anchor and can handle power rushers.

His experience shows up on tape in his awareness. Morgan recognizes where pressure is coming from and understands his assignment. He sees stunts and twists, but is also able to pass off blocks well and pick up his defender to block. Morgan understands the game well.

Jordan Morgan Weaknesses

His size is just average at 6-foot-5 and 325 pounds. The more alarming thing might be his arm length, which is likely under 33 inches. This lack of length makes it harder for him to sustain blocks and to control his matchups. With the limited length, some teams may want to move him to the interior to play guard.

Morgan isn’t a very flexible tackle and bends at the waist. These are two things that make it tough for him to play in space at times. He needs to make sure his leverage and hand placement are good to help cover up in these areas.

He can improve his hand usage for the next level as well. Morgan can be a bit of a body catcher. He needs to punch more quickly and make sure he is accurate to help overcome his lack of length. His hand placement tends to get too wide, which makes it easier for defenders to use their length against him.

Projected Draft Range: First Round Pick-Second Round Pick

Draft Grade: Second Round Pick
