The 2025 NFL Draft will be a great event for teams to start building for their future. Here is the Jordan Burch NFL Draft Profile.

Burch was a five-star recruit in the class of 2020, who decided to stay home and play for South Carolina. He played as a reserve in his first year, registering 19 tackles and three tackles for loss. In 2021, Burch earned his first start and produced 26 total tackles, three tackles for loss and one sack. He helped the team win seven games that season. For the 2022 season, Burch 60 total tackles, eight tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks. His play aided the team in winning eight games. He transferred to Oregon for the 2023 season, totaling 34 tackles, eight tackles for loss and three sacks in his first season with the Ducks. Oregon won 12 games in Burch’s first season. Last season, Burch had 31 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks. He led the team to 13 wins and a CFP appearance.
Following the season, Burch has been preparing for the 2025 NFL Draft. He is currently projected to be a mid-round pick.
Burch has great size for an NFL edge rusher. He stands at 6-foot-4 and 279 pounds, which is bigger than most other edge rushers in the class. He has good strength and power that other rushers simply don’t have because of their size. With his size comes solid length, with arms measuring at 33 inches, which helps him shed.
He is a versatile player that can fit in with several different types of defenses. Burch can rush on the edge, but also can rush from the interior on passing downs, allowing a team to put all of their best rushers on the field. He can play on the interior on rushing downs as well, but is undersized in that endeavor. Defensive coordinators will love utilizing his versatility.
For his size, Burch is a good athlete. He shows good quickness at the snap, as he times it up well, but also has the burst at the snap to get a jump on the play. Burch moves decently laterally, but impressively for his size. He is surprisingly flexible with the ability to bend around the edge.
Burch can be a bit of a tweener. He is a big edge rusher, but doesn’t have elite athleticism like other players at that position. If moved inside, he gives up his strength advantage and can struggle to get off blocks. Burch might require bulking up to move inside or slimming down, just a bit, to help him move a little better for an edge rusher.
He really struggles in keeping his pad level down. Burch is tall so his pad level naturally rises, but he also stands too straight up and can lose his power in a rep. He has a great strength advantage on the edge, but can be neutralized when he lets his pad level rise. His consistency will improve at the next level if his pad level stays down.
He mostly wins thank to his strength as a rusher and can be even more productive with more pass rush moves and counters. Burch needs a pass rush plan going into each play. With more moves it would help him fill out his plan better. He also could use more counters when his initial rush is stopped.
Projected Draft Range: Third Round Pick-Fifth Round Pick
Draft Grade: Third Round Pick
