The 2025 NFL Draft will be a great event for teams to start building for their future. Here is the Jared Wilson NFL Draft Profile.
Position: Interior Offensive Lineman
School: Georgia
Size: 6-foot-3, 310 pounds
Class: Redshirt Junior
2024 stats: Second Team All-SEC
Wilson was a three-star recruit in the class of 2021 and signed with Georgia out of North Carolina. He didn’t play his first two seasons on campus, but then played more in 2023. He helped Georgia win 13 games that season. Wilson was named Second Team All-SEC in 2024, as a starter, and led the Bulldogs to an 11-win season and a CFP appearance.
Following the College Football Playoff, Wilson declared for the 2025 NFL Draft. He is currently projected to be a second to fourth-round pick.
Wilson has good athleticism for an interior offensive lineman. He is quick after he snaps the ball, which gives him a step up on the rep. His ability to block well in space is unique, as he can get to the second level and block well when asked to go out on the perimeter. He also uses his mobility well as a pass blocker, but he also uses his flexibility well too.
He is useful as a run blocker in a few different ways. While he won’t move people, he can execute his assignments when asked to block defensive linemen. He gets to the second level quickly to block linebackers. When asked to pull or get to the outside, he does so well. Teams that want a mobile center will love Wilson’s potential.
His ability to mirror pass rushers is also impressive. He has good lateral agility so he can stay in front of pass rushers well. Wilson has good recovery quickness too, which helps him against pass rushers who change direction or against blitzers. He can be trusted against athletic pass rushers on the interior.
Wilson is a smaller offensive line prospect, even for a center. He stands at 6-foot-3 and 310 pounds, so he is shorter, but does have a pretty well-filled-out frame. Wilson also has shorter arms that measure under 33 inches, which gives him below-average length for the position. He can struggle against defensive linemen who have longer arms.
He doesn’t have a lot of experience, as he didn’t start until the 2024 season. While he started the whole season, he will be one of the prospects in the draft who has less experience. He needs more reps, but on the bright side, if he does well he could develop with more playing time.
In pass protection, Wilson can struggle to anchor well. He has good leverage, but doesn’t have a lot of strength. Power rushers and rushers who can convert speed to power can take advantage of his lack of an anchor. He’ll need to add strength and play with good technique to help overcome this.
Projected Draft Range: Second Round Pick-Fourth Round Pick
Draft Grade: Third Round Pick
