The 2025 NFL Draft will be a great event for teams to start building for their future. Here is the Jack Bech NFL Draft Profile.
Position: Wide Receiver
School: TCU
Size: 6-foot-1, 214 pounds
Class: Senior
2024 stats: 62 catches, 1,034 receiving yards, nine touchdowns, 16.7 yards per reception
Bech was a three-star recruit in the class of 2021, who stayed in-state to play for LSU. He played solidly as a freshman, hauling in 43 passes for 489 yards and three touchdowns. He helped the team win six games that season. His production dipped in 2022, as he caught 16 passes for 200 yards and one touchdown. He helped LSU win 10 games in 2022. Before the 2023 season, Bech transferred to TCU. He had 12 catches for 146 yards, as the Horned Frogs won five games in his first season. For the 2024 season, Bech hauled in 62 passes for 1,034 yards and nine touchdowns. He led the team to a nine-win season.
Following the season, Bech has been preparing for the 2025 NFL Draft. He is a projected day two pick.
Bech is a versatile receiver that can be used in a few different ways. He can play on the outside, but his true fit may be in the slot as a bigger receiver in that area. He has a little return experience as well. Bech can fit into a lot of different offenses because he can fill so many different roles for a team.
He has good ball skills and is competitive at the catchpoint. Bech tracks the ball well in the air and can high point the football. He is able to pull passes in that are thrown off his frame and make routine catches as well. Bech is specifically good at making contested catches, as he is a reliable target for quarterbacks.
His run after the catch ability is good as well. Bech has good open-field vision and runs hard with the ball in his hands. He can break tackles, especially if it is a defensive back matched up on him. He has a little bit of wiggle as well, which was why he was trusted with some return duties.
He could block better given his size. Bech has solid play strength and can display a bit more effort to help with the run blocking cause. He needs to keep his hands inside to help control his matchups agianst defenders. Developing his blocking will help the team, but will also make him more versatile.
Bech can be thrown off by press coverage. He doesn’t have the cleanest releases at the line of scrimmage and that can through off the rest of the play. His releases can develop and he can do a better job using his physicality at the start of routes, but his relative lack of quickness will put a ceiling on his ability in this area.
His athleticism leaves a little to be desired. Bech isn’t the quickest and doesn’t always display great agility skills. He can have a harder time getting in and out of his breaks well consistently. Bech also doesn’t have the best long speed, as he is just average in that category. Bech will need to make a lot of contested catches or schemed catches to be productive.
Projected Draft Range: Second Round Pick-Third Round Pick
Draft Grade: Third Round Pick
