The 2025 NFL Draft will be a great event for teams to start building for their future. Here is the Elic Ayomanor NFL Draft Profile.
Position: Wide Receiver
School: Stanford
Size: 6-foot-2, 210 pounds
Class: Redshirt Sophomore
2024 stats: 63 receptions, 831 receiving yards, 6 touchdown catches, 13.2 yards per catch
Ayomanor was a three-star recruit in the class of 2022 who signed with Stanford out of Massachusetts. He redshirted in his first season on campus, then started creating an impact in 2023. That season, he caught 62 receptions for 1,013 yards and six touchdowns. Stanford won three games that season. In 2024, Ayomanor caught 63 passes for 831 yards and six touchdowns. Unfortunately Stanford was unable to improve, winning just three games again.
Following the regular season, Ayomanor declared for the 2025 NFL Draft. He is a projected day two pick.
Ayomanor has good size for the wide receiver position, standing at 6-foot-2 and 210 pounds. He has solid play strength that comes with his size. With how big he is, Ayomanor also has a big catch radius. All of these things make him a matchup problem for smaller corners, as he uses his size well.
He is a physical receiver who knows how to use his strength to his advantage. Ayomanor can make contested catches, but also is a good red-zone threat because he can high point the football and play through contact. He uses this physicality as a run blocker as well, as Ayomanor controls his matchups and sustains his blocks.
For his size, Ayomanor has good speed. He can stretch the field vertically, as he gets up to top speed with long strides. Corners can struggle to keep up with him when he runs vertically. He can convert on these plays downfield as a deep threat because of his speed, but also because of his ability to high point the football and use his size.
Ayomanor can run better routes at the next level. There are times when he is too high getting in and out of his breaks, which limits his ability to create separation. His size makes it hard for him to change directions quickly. Along with running crisper routes, Ayomanor also needs to show he can run more routes than he showed during his time at Stanford.
While he has good size and solid speed, Ayomanor isn’t as good at running after the catch as expected. He doesn’t always have the acceleration or agility to get by defenders. While he has good speed, it isn’t easy for him to reach it after he catches the ball. He can also show better vision with the ball in his hands so that he can maximize plays.
He has the ability to make acrobatic and contested catches, but there are some drops on Ayomanor’s tape. Ayomanor will need to limit focus drops. He could have been more productive at Stanford if he converted on more routine plays. NFL coaches will want to work on his hands to make them more consistent.
