The 2026 NFL Draft will be a great event for teams to start building for their future. Here is the Denzel Boston NFL Draft Profile.
Position: Wide Receiver
School: Washington
Size: 6-foot-4, 212 Pounds
Class: Redshirt Junior
2025 stats: 62 receptions, 881 receiving yards, 11 touchdown catches, 14.2 yards per reception
Boston was a three-star recruit in the class of 2022 who decided to stay in-state and play for Washington. He played in just four games to redshirt in 2022, registering just two catches for 15 yards. In 2023, he tallied five catches for 51 yards as a reserve for the Huskies as they made the National Championship Game. Boston had a larger role in 2024, hauling in 63 passes for 834 yards and nine touchdowns. His play helped the Huskies go 6-7 and make a bowl game. In 2025, Boston returned to have 62 catches for 881 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. He led the team to an improvement, as they finished the season with nine wins.
Following the season, Boston declared for the 2026 NFL Draft. He is currently projected to be a first or second-round pick.
Boston has great size for an NFL receiver. He measured in at 6-foot-4 and 212 pounds with 32-inch arms. This size gives him a huge catch radius that is rare. He will be a matchup problem for plenty of NFL defensive backs. With his size comes good play strength. He uses his size and strength well to win his matchups.
He has tremendous ball skills in a few different ways. Boston is able to make contested catches with defenders hanging on him. He isn’t afraid to go over the middle and make catches in traffic. Boston tracks the ball well and can go get it. He high points the ball and is able to win jump balls against most cornerbacks. He is a red zone threat who uses his size to his advantage.
His run-after-the-catch ability is better than expected for a player of his size. He has good open-field vision to run to open space. Boston has a solid combination of size and speed, which can make him hard to tackle. While he won’t be the most elusive receiver with the ball in his hands, he can pick up some extra yards after the catch that some possession receiver prospects won’t.
Boston has solid speed for the position, but won’t be elite in that category. Given his size, his speed is fine, but he won’t win races with NFL corners all the time. He has good acceleration, but opponents can catch up to his top speed. Boston will be reliant on his size for big plays down the field rather than speed.
His route running could use some work to make him more effective. He can struggle getting in and out of breaks, which makes it harder for him to separate. There are also times when he can round off his routes instead of trying to make them as crisp as possible. Boston likely will never be an elite separator, but more detailed route-running can help him.
He can have struggles to beat press coverage at the line of scrimmage. Boston will need to work on his releases to help him get by cornerbacks and not have his routes stalled. He usually plays through contact well, but Boston needs to do a better job of doing so at the start of plays.
Projected Draft Range: First Round Pick-Second Round Pick
Draft Grade: Second Round Pick
