Size: 6-foot-2, 235 pounds
Class: Junior
2025 stats: 88 total tackles, 8 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, 4 passes defended, 2 forced fumbles
Allen was a four-star prospect in the class of 2023 and decided to stay in-state to play for Georgia. He played a decent amount as a freshman and earned five starts. Allen totaled 41 total tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and one sack. He was a first-time starter in 2024, producing 76 total tackles, three tackles for loss and one interception. His play helped the Bulldogs make the CFP. In 2025, Georgia would make the CFP again behind Allen’s 88 total tackles, eight tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks.
Following the 2025 season, Allen declared for the 2026 NFL Draft. He is currently projected to be a first or second round pick.
Allen is a high-IQ player who gets the defense lined up. He can get the defense in the right position before the snap. Once the ball is snapped, Allen shows good play recognition. He diagnoses run plays quickly and is able to go make tackles. As a defender against the pass, he shows decent eye balance and awareness.
He is great in his run defense. Allen sees plays clearly, then goes downhill to make plays on the ball. He can get around blocks and pursue the football well. Allen also has the ability to shed decently at times to help him go make tackles. He is a solid tackler who can wrap up and won’t miss many tackles.
His athleticism is good for the position. Allen has good acceleration and speed. He can use this to show his range in pursuit and in coverage. Allen has good flexibility and agility. He is able to change directions, which helps him escape blocks and in his pursuit of ball carriers.
Allen has some decent potential in coverage, but has struggled in man-to-man. He can stay attached to tight ends, but doesn’t always keep up with quicker players due to some hip tightness. Allen can give up yards and can struggle to make plays in man coverage. He also had some issues in zone coverage. Allen has shown good eye balance at times, but can also lose track of receivers.
He is a shorter prospect and doesn’t have the longest arms. Allen can struggle to shed blocks at times despite his good effort. He will need to go around blocks or work on his technique to help him shed and make more plays.
His role as a leader of the defense is there and he will make tackles, but he doesn’t always make the biggest plays. Allen makes tackles, but doesn’t always attack well enough to get too many tackles for loss. His blitzing isn’t good enough to rack up a ton of sacks and his coverage will make it hard for him to make plays on the ball.
