Ben Sinnott 2024 NFL Draft Profile

Publish Date: April 22, 2024

The 2024 NFL Draft will be a great event for teams to start building for their future. Here is the Ben Sinnott 2024 NFL Draft Profile.

Ben Sinnott Background

Position: Tight End

School: Kansas State

Size: 6-foot-4, 250 pounds

Class: Senior

2023 stats: 49 receptions, 676 receiving yards, 13.8 yards per reception, 6 touchdowns

Sinnott filled a few different roles for Kansas State over his productive career. He is now in the 2024 NFL Draft.

As an unranked recruit in the class of 2020, Sinnott signed with Kansas State out of Iowa. He did not play in 2020, but did play in 2021 sparingly. The 2022 season saw Sinnott step into the starting lineup. He caught 31 passes for 447 yards and four touchdowns. His play helped Kansas State win 10 games that season. For the 2023 season, Sinnott hauled in 49 catches for 676 yards and six touchdowns. He led the Wildcats to nine wins.

Following the 2023 season, he declared for the 2024 NFL Draft. He is currently projected to be a day-two pick.

Ben Sinnott Strengths

Sinnott measured in well at the NFL Combine. He stands 6-foot-4 and 250 pounds, which is solid for an NFL tight end. His frame is decently filled out, but he could add a little play strength. His size gives him a big catch radius and allows him to be on the line of scrimmage as a blocker.

He showed the ability to run block well at Kansas State. Whether lining up at tight end or fullback, Sinnott executes his assignment and can move defenders out of the way. He is able to hit moving targets and clear big holes for the running back.

His ability to make contested catches makes him a tough matchup problem for defenses. He moves fairly well for a tight end, which can make him hard for linebackers to guard. His size, which he uses well, makes him tough for safeties to match up with.

Ben Sinnott Weaknesses

Sinnott is a good run blocker, but could be even better if he kept his pad level lower. He loses some of his power by standing straight up. If he stays low and drives defenders backwards, he could clear even more space for the running game.

His speed is just average for the position. He won’t be running away from defenders during his routes or when he has the ball in his hands. Sinnott can still create separation, but it doesn’t always come from pure speed.

He can pay more attention to detail with his route running. Sinnott can get in and out of his breaks quicker with more focus. He also has a tendency to round off his routes and can run them more crisply with some work.

Projected Draft Range: Second Round Pick-Third Round Pick

Draft Grade: Second Round Pick
