Position: Cornerback
School: Clemson
Size: 5-foot-11, 180 Pounds
Class: Junior
2025 stats: 48 total tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, 9 passes defended, 5 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery
Terrell was a three-star recruit in the class of 2023 who followed in his brother AJ’s footsteps to play for Clemson. He played a decent amount as a freshman, registering 19 total tackles, one interception and four passes defended. Terrell improved during his sophomore season, as he had 58 total tackles, two interceptions and 12 passes defended. His play helped Clemson make the CFP. While Clemson struggled in 2025, Terrell played well with 48 total tackles and nine passes defended.
Following the 2025 season, Terrell declared for the 2026 NFL Draft. He is currently projected to be a first or second round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Terrell is good in man coverage, as he is able to mirror well. He can match receivers’ releases at the start of plays. Once a receiver gets to his route, Terrell is able to mirror well with smooth hips. He stays attached even to the deep parts of the field. His man coverage is able to match quality receivers.
His ability to make big plays is unique. He has great ball skills, as he made plenty of plays on the ball during his college career. Terrell is able to track the ball in the air well and is able to attack the catchpoint well. He is capable of picking the ball off or defending passes. Terrell also forced five fumbles in 2025.
He has great athleticism, which is part of his pedigree with his brother being in the NFL Terrell has quality acceleration and turns it into a nice top-end speed. He has good agility as well, giving him the ability to change direction as receivers go through their routes. Terrell will fit in athletically at the next level.
Terrell is a bit undersized for an NFL cornerback. He stands at 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds. Terrell also doesn’t have the longest arms. He will need to add some weight to his frame so that he can handle the physicality of NFL football. His length won’t help him make up for the lack of strength.
His route recognition and anticipation could be better. He follows well in man coverage, but can sometimes be a little late to make moves in zone coverage. Improving his route recognition and anticipation will help him limit completions and make even more plays on the ball.
He is willing to run support, but won’t offer much help. Terrell can struggle to shed blocks because of his lack of length and strength. If he does shed or gets around the block, he can sometimes fail to wrap up and make tackles on ball carriers. There is room to improve because he is willing to help, but he will take some time to develop.
Projected Draft Range: First Round Pick-Second Round Pick
Draft Grade: First Round Pick
