The 2025 NFL Draft will be a great event for teams to start building for their future. Here is the Armand Membou NFL Draft Profile.
Position: Offensive Tackle
School: Missouri
Size: 6-foot-3, 332 pounds
Class: Junior
2024 stats: Second Team All-SEC
Membou was a four-star recruit who signed with Missouri in the class of 2022. He started five games as a true freshman down the stretch for the Tigers. Membou jumped into the starting lineup full-time in 2023, starting at right tackle. He helped the team win 11 games that season. In 2024, Membou played right tackle again for Missouri and was named Second Team All-SEC. He led Missouri to a 1o-win season.
Following the season, Membou declared for the 2025 NFL Draft. He is currently projected to be a first-round pick.
Membou has great strength for the NFL with a filled out frame. His strength specifically shows up in the run game, where he can move defenders out of the way to clear big holes. He has the grip strength to sustain his blocks for long periods of time to let plays develop. Membou has shown the potential to handle power rushers at times, but it is inconsistent.
As a run blocker, Membou uses his strength well. He can clear big holes in the running game and won’t have a problem executing his assignments. He moves well enough to get to the second level and he also gets to the perimeter well. Membou maintains proper leverage and sustains his blocks well.
His athleticism is solid for an NFL tackle. He moves well enough linearly to get to the second level as a run blocker. Membou moves well enough laterally to get outside on screens or pulls. His athleticism and movement skills allow him to mirror pass rushers well with solid footwork.
Membou has more of the size of a guard at 6-foot-3 and 332 pounds. He could excel at guard, but teams will have to be comfortable with him playing tackle at that size as his height is below average. With his size, Membou also struggles with length and may not have the longest arms himself. That difficulty with length could make him move inside.
As mentioned, Membou’s anchor is inconsistent. He has the potential to have a good anchor, but sometimes defenders are able to use their length and push him off his spot. Membou needs to stay balanced and use his length to his advantage in this situation. Improving against power rushers would help him be a better pass protector overall.
He can have better hand placement and timing to really help him against length. Membou’s hands can be late, which allows defenders to activate their length quicker. He needs quicker hands and he also needs to keep them inside to help him sustain his blocks longer. With his issues with length, Membou has added importance on his hand usage.
