2027 NFL Draft Prospect Watchlist: Interior Offensive Linemen

Publish Date: May 8, 2026

The 2026 NFL Draft is over and teams are getting comfortable with their new draft picks. The next class of players is getting prepared now for another year of college football. Each position will be analyzed in the coming days. Here is the 2027 NFL Draft prospect watchlist: Interior Offensive Linemen.

Greg Johnson, Minnesota Golden Gophers

Johnson was a three-star recruit in the class of 2023, who signed with Minnesota to stay in-state. He started twice in his first season, but mostly provided good depth for the Golden Gophers. Johnson started 13 games at center for the Golden Gophers, helping the team win eight games. In 2025, Johnson made the move to left guard and played well on the way to aiding the team to eight wins.

At 6-foot-6 and 325 pounds, Johnson has good size for an NFL interior offensive lineman. He has great versatility, with experience all over the line of scrimmage. Johnson has good length and nice anchoring abilities. He lunges a bit and is a bit grabby, but Johnson has the tools to be a good interior lineman at the next level.

Iapani Laloulu, Oregon Ducks

Laloulu was a four-star recruit in the class of 2023 who signed with Oregon out of Hawaii. He played a decent amount as a freshman, helping the Ducks win 12 games. In 2024, he was an All-Big Ten Honorable Mention after starting at center, aiding the team in winning 13 games. For the 2025 season, Laloulu earned some All-American honors and was Second Team All-Big Ten for his play. He led the team to 13 wins.

He is shorter at 6-foot-2, but has a nicely filled-out frame, weighing 329 pounds. With his size comes good power, as he anchors well. He has heavy hands that can jolt defenders. Laloulu has good pass pro capabilities. While he appears to lack length and isn’t the greatest mover, Laloulu is one of the best centers in college football.

Kade Pieper, Iowa Hawkeyes

Pieper was a three-star recruit in the class of 2023 who signed with Iowa out of Nebraska. He played in one game in 2023, then had a bigger role in 2024. During the 2025 season, Pieper started all 13 games at right guard for the Hawkeyes, making the All-Big Ten Third Team. His play helped Iowa win nine games.

At 6-foot-4 and 290 pounds, Pieper will have to fill out his frame a bit more for the next level. He can anchor better and move people in the run game. Pieper does have good athleticism and movement abilities. He has shown himself to be a good blocker in Iowa’s zone-heavy scheme. Another good season can improve Pieper’s stock.

Evan Tengesdahl, Cincinnati Bearcats

Tengesdahl was a three-star recruit in the class of 2023 who signed with the in-state Cincinnati Bearcats. He redshirted in 2023, then played as a reserve in 2024. During the 2025 season, he started at left guard and earned All-America honors for his play. He led the Bearcats to a seven-win season.

He stands at 6-foot-3 and 323 pounds, which gives him a filled-out frame. Tengesdahl is quick at the snap and has heavy hands to give him some pop. He gets to the second level and continues looking for work. Tengesdahl is only a one-year starter who can struggle to mirror pass rushers. Putting together another good season would help cement his stock as one of the top interior offensive linemen in the class.

Other Draft Prospects

Coen Echols, Texas A&M Aggies

Echols started his career at LSU, but is now at Texas A&M. He is still a young player, but he could reach his potential with the Aggies this season.

Justin Evans, Nebraska Cornhuskers

Evans is a shorter guard, but was able to help Nebraska be a good run-blocking unit last season.

Charles Jagusah, Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Jagusah has played tackle and guard during his Notre Dame career, but has struggled with injuries. If he has recovered, he can restore some of the stock that he saw earlier in his career.

Luke Montgomery, Ohio State Buckeyes

After starting at the end of the 2024 season, Montgomery carried that momentum into the 2025 season. He will need to be better to help Ohio State go further in the CFP this year.
