2026 NFL Draft Prospect Watchlist: Cornerbacks

Publish Date: May 13, 2025

The 2025 NFL Draft is over and teams are getting comfortable with their new draft picks. The next class of players is getting prepared now for another year of college football. Each position will be analyzed in the coming days. Here is the 2026 NFL Draft prospect watchlist: Cornerbacks.

Tacario Davis, Washington Huskies

As a three-star recruit in the class of 2022, Davis signed with Arizona out of California. He didn’t play much in his first season, then had a great 2023 with 25 total tackles, 15 passes defended and one interception. His play helped the team go 10-3 on the season. For the 2024 season, Davis registered 44 tackles and six passes defended. Arizona struggled and Davis transferred to Washington for the 2025 season.

He stands at 6-foot-4 and 200 pounds, which gives him a good frame that he could continue to fill out. Davis matches up well with bigger receivers and has good zone coverage potential. He is good in press coverage and showed good ball skills. Davis can struggle to mirror receivers, which limits his man-to-man ability. A good season for the Huskies could make him a first round pick.

Mansoor Delane, LSU Tigers

Delane was a three-star recruit in the class of 2022, who signed with Virginia Tech out of Maryland. He impressed early in his career, tallying 38 tackles, one interception and eight passes defended. Virginia Tech struggled with just three wins. In 2023, Delane recorded 54 tackles, one pass defended and one interception. The Hokies improved to seven wins with Delane’s help. For the 2024 season, Delane had 54 tackles, four interceptions and seven passes defended. He led the Hokies to a six-win season, then transferred to LSU for the 2025 season.

At 6-foot-1 and 187 pounds, Delane needs to fill out his frame and add play strength. He won’t have the best long-speed and can sometimes have trouble transitioning his hips. Delane has good balls skills and plays aggressively. He plays solid in press and shows off good instincts. Delane can show his skills in the SEC this season, which should help his pro future.

Jermod McCoy, Tennessee Volunteers

As a three-star recruit in the class of 2023, McCoy signed with Oregon State out of Texas. He had a good freshman season totaling 31 tackles, two interceptions and seven passes defended. After the season, he decided to transfer to Tennessee. He had 44 total tackles, four interceptions and nine passes defended. His play helped Tennessee win 10 games and make the CFP.

He has decent size at 6-foot, 193 pounds, and attacks the catchpoint, displaying his good ball skills. McCoy plays good press coverage and has nice awareness in zone. He tore his ACL early in 2025 and needs to recover from that. McCoy can be too grabby in coverage and won’t offer much in run support. If he recovers and has some more good tape, he has the chance to be selected early in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Malik Muhammad, Texas Longhorns

Muhammad was a four-star recruit in the class of 2023, who decided to stay in-state to play for Texas. He played mostly as a reserve in 2023, registering 31 tackles, four passes defended and one interception. Muhammad stepped into the starting lineup in 2024, showing improvement with 36 total tackles and eight passes defended. His play helped Texas win 13 games and make the CFP.

He can fill out his 6-foot, 180 pound frame better to help him add more strength. Muhammad has the versatility to play inside and out. He mirrors well in man coverage, showing good hip fluidity. Muhammad has good route recognition and nice eye balance in zone. He can improve his tackling and can be more aggressive to make more plays on the ball.

Avieon Terrell, Clemson Tigers

As a three-star recruit in the class of 2023, Terrell signed with Clemson out of Georgia, following in his brother AJ’s steps. He started a little as a freshman, totaling 19 tackles, four passes defended and one interception. His play helped Clemson win nine games. In 2024, Terrell recorded 58 tackles, 12 passes defended and two interceptions. He led the Tigers to a 10-win season.

Terrell is a smaller corner at 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds, which makes it harder for him to match up against bigger receivers. He can improve his tackling and quit biting on double moves and play action to improve. Terrell can mirror receivers well and has good ball skills. He has strengths in both man and zone coverage, making him a scheme fit for lots of teams.

Other Draft Prospects

Daylen Everette, Georgia Bulldogs- Everette has plenty of experience at Georgia and if he makes more plays on the ball, his stock will increase.

AJ Harris, Penn State Nittany Lions- Harris started at Georgia then transferred to Penn State last season, where he impressed. Another good season could have Penn State advancing far in the CFP again.

Domani Jackson, Alabama Crimson Tide- Jackson spent two seasons at USC, then played last season at Alabama. He showed good ball skills last season.

Jalon Kilgore, South Carolina Gamecocks- Kilgore had five interceptions for the Gamecocks last season and will be looking to build on that.

DJ McKinney, Colorado Buffaloes-  Travis Hunter received a lot of attention, but McKinney had a solid season for Colorado after transferring from Oklahoma State.
