The 2025 NFL Draft is underway. As the draft goes on, teams will be graded on how they have done. Here are the 2025 NFL Draft Grades.
Note: This post will be updated throughout the weekend
Buffalo Bills: A
Draft Picks: CB Maxwell Hairston, DL TJ Sanders, EDGE Landon Jackson, DL Deone Walker, CB Jordan Hancock, TE Jackson Hawes, CB Dorian Strong, OT Chase Lundt, WR Kaden Prather
The Bills needed a corner and got one with good speed and ball skills in Hairston. Sanders can help gets some pass rush from the interior for Buffalo. Jackson is a little stiff, but can rush from the interior if needed.
Miami Dolphins: B+
Draft Picks: DL Kenneth Grant, IOL Jonah Savaiinaea, DL Jordan Phillips, CB Jason Marshall, S Dante Trader, RB Ollie Gordon, QB Quinn Ewers, DL Zeek Biggers
Miami addressed their interior defensive line by taking Grant, who can help stop the run. Savaiinaea will help the interior of the Dolphins’ offensive line, a place that has been neglected over the years.
New England Patriots: A
Draft Picks: OT Will Campbell, RB TreVeyon Henderson, WR Kyle Williams, IOL Jared Wilson, S Craig Woodson, DL Joshua Farmer, EDGE Bradyn Swinson, K Andres Borregales, OT Marcus Bryant, LS Julian Ashby, CB Kobee Minor
The Patriots needed to protect Drake Maye and helped by selecting Will Campbell, the best offensive lineman in the draft. Henderson is a home run threat that can also help out in the passing game. Williams brings some speed to the Patriots’ wide receiver room. Wilson can compete for a starting spot at center for the Patriots down the road.
New York Jets: B
Draft Picks: OT Armand Membou, TE Mason Taylor, CB Azareye’h Thomas, WR Arian Smith, S Malachi Moore, LB Francisco Mauigoa, EDGE Tyler Baron
Membou is a right tackle that can bolster the Jets’ offensive line immediately. The Jets get a polished weapon for Justin Fields to use in Taylor. Thomas can help with good corner depth.
Baltimore Ravens: A
Draft Picks: S Malaki Starks, EDGE Mike Green, OT Emery Jones, LB Teddye Buchanan, IOL Carson Vinson, CB Bilhal Kone, K Tyler Loop, WR LaJohntay Wester, DL Aeneas Peebles, CB Robert Longerbeam
The Ravens always get quality players to fall to them and did it again with Malaki Starks. Green has off-the-field issues, but if they check out, the Ravens got great value in an area of need with Green. Jones played tackle in college, but could move inside to guard to help the Ravens.
Cincinnati Bengals: C
Draft Picks: EDGE Shemar Stewart, LB Demetrius Knight, IOL Dylan Fairchild, LB Barrett Carter, OT Jalen Rivers, RB Tahj Brooks, IOL Garrett Dellinger
Stewart has great athletic ability, but managed just 4.5 sacks in his college career. Knight has good size and speed to help fill in if the Bengals trade Germaine Pratt. Fairchild is a mauling guard who will fit right in on the Bengals’ offensive line.
Cleveland Browns: B
Draft Picks: DL Mason Graham, LB Carson Schwesinger, RB Quinshon Judkins, TE Harold Fannin Jr., QB Dillon Gabriel, RB Dylan Sampson, QB Shedeur Sanders
The Browns get some credit for trading down and getting a top-five player in Graham, but they could have had one of the few blue-chip prospects in the draft had they stayed at pick no. 2. Schwesinger was a good value at the start of the second round. Judkins will provide a strong running back with contact balance. Fannin was a productive college tight end, which is rare, and even put up numbers against great competition. Gabriel is a solid quarterback, but Shedeur Sanders was still on the board. They got a steal with Sanders in the fifth.
Pittsburgh Steelers: B
Draft Picks: DL Derrick Harmon, RB Kaleb Johnson, EDGE Jack Sawyer, DL Yahya Black, QB Will Howard, LB Carson Bruener, CB Donte Kent
The Steelers still need a quarterback, but maybe Aaron Rodgers is on his way. Harmon is an impressive pass rusher. Johnson was good value and can help the Steelers, but they did fail to address the quarterback need.
Houston Texans: C
Draft Picks: WR Jayden Higgins, OT Aireontae Ersery. WR Jaylin Noel, CB Jaylin Smith, RB Woody Marks, S Jaylen Reed, QB Graham Mertz, DL Kyonte Hamilton, TE Luke Lachey
Getting another wide receiver was necessary, but there were better wide receivers on the board than Higgins. Ersery will help a depleted offensive line after the trade of Laremy Tunsil. Taking two receivers was a bit much, but Noel can play in the slot for the Texans. Smith was a reach, but has good athleticism.
Indianapolis Colts: A
Draft Picks: TE Tyler Warren, EDGE JT Tuimoloau, CB Justin Walley, OT Jalen Travis, RB DJ Giddens, QB Riley Leonard, DL Tim Smith, S Hunter Wohler
Indianapolis got the best tight end in the draft in Warren, who is a versatile player. Tuimoloau is a good run defender as an edge, but will give some power rushing ability as well. Walley has good ball skills and could compete for a starting job.
Jacksonville Jaguars: A
Draft Picks: CB/WR Travis Hunter, S Caleb Ransaw, OT Wyatt Milum, RB Bhayshul Tuten, LB Jack Kiser, LB Jalen McLeod, S Rayaun Layne, IOL Jonah Monheim, RB LeQuint Allen
The Jaguars were aggressive to move up and select Hunter. He is the best player in the class and can make an impact on both sides of the ball. Ransaw is a good athlete who can play the nickel spot for the Jags. Milum was good at left tackle in college, but may move inside in the NFL.
Tennessee Titans: B-
Draft Picks: QB Cam Ward, EDGE Oluwafemi Oladejo, S Kevin Winston, WR Chimere Dike, TE Gunnar Helm, WR Elic Ayomanor, IOL Jackson Slater, CB Marcus Harris, RB Kalel Mullings
It is a bad year for teams to need a quarterback and the Titans reached for Ward. They then took Oladejo a bit early as well, even if he did fit a need. Winston provides good value, even coming off of an injury.
Denver Broncos: A-
Draft Picks: CB Jahdae Barron, RB RJ Harvey, WR Pat Bryant, EDGE Sai’Vion Jones, EDGE Que Robinson, P Jeremy Crawshaw, TE Caleb Lohner
Barron can play outside corner or nickel and that versatility should help improve the Broncos’ defense even more. Harvey is a good running back, but there were a few better ones on the board when the Broncos picked him. Bryant is a good deep threat who high-points the ball. Jones can play on the edge or inside, giving the defense more versatility.
Kansas City Chiefs: A
Draft Picks: OT Josh Simmons, DL Omarr Norman-Lott, EDGE Ashton Gillotte, CB Nohl Williams, WR Jalen Royals, LB Jeffrey Bassa, RB Brashard Smith
Kansas City got great value in Simmons and also needed to improve the offensive line for Patrick Mahomes. Norman-Lott is a good interior rushers who can play on third downs early in his career for the Chiefs. There were better edge rushers available than Gillotte, but he filled a need at edge rusher. Williams was selected a little early, but makes plays on the ball.
Las Vegas Raiders: A
Draft Picks: RB Ashton Jeanty, WR Jack Bech, CB Darien Porter, IOL Caleb Rogers, OT Charles Grant, WR Dont’e Thornton, DL Tonka Hemingway, DL JJ Pegues, QB Tommy Mellott, QB Cam Miller, LB Cody Lindenberg
The Raiders got a top-3 player in the draft in Jeanty, who will be utilized heavily by Pete Carroll. Bech is a versatile receiver that can really help spread out the Raiders’ offense. Porter has great athleticism and has good ball skills as a former receiver. Rogers played tackle at Texas Tech, but will move inside to guard for the Raiders and could eventually start. Grant is a good athlete, but needs to refine his game a bit.
Los Angeles Chargers: B+
Draft Picks: RB Omarion Hampton, WR Tre Harris, DL Jamaree Caldwell, EDGE Kyle Kennard, WR KeAndre Lambert-Smith, TE Oronde Gadsden II, OT Branson Taylor, S RJ Mickens, S Trikweze Bridges
Hampton was a good value pick, but the Chargers had other needs they could have filled. The Chargers added an impactful pass catcher in Harris, who has nice size. Caldwell is a run-stopper who can clog the middle.
Dallas Cowboys: B-
Draft Picks: IOL Tyler Booker, EDGE Donovan Ezeiruaku, CB Shavon Revel, RB Jaydon Blue, LB Shemar James, WR LaJohntay Wester, DL Jay Toia, RB Phil Mafah, DL Tommy Akingbesote
The Cowboys improved their offensive line, but reached a bit on Booker, who wasn’t projected to go until late in the first round. Ezeiruaku was projected to go in the first round, but fell to the second and fills a need for the Cowboys. Revel is coming off a torn ACL, but has great length and speed for the corner spot.
New York Giants: A-
Draft Picks: EDGE Abdul Carter, QB Jaxson Dart, DL Darius Alexander, RB Cam Skattebo, IOL Marcus Mbow, TE Thomas Fidone, CB Korie Black
Carter was a top-two player in the draft and the Giants got him at pick three. Even though it wasn’t a need, they got one of the elite players in the draft. They traded into the first round to get Dart, who will need to develop quickly. Alexander can help on the interior after a productive career at Toledo.
Philadelphia Eagles: A
Draft Picks: LB Jihaad Campbell, S Andrew Mukuba, EDGE Ty Robinson, S Mac McWilliams, LB Smael Mondon, IOL Drew Kendall, QB Kyle McCord, OT Myles Hinton, OT Cameron Williams, EDGE Antwaun Powell-Ryland
The Eagles traded up to get Campbell, who will fill a position of need and give them a quality player. Mukuba is a rangy safety that can develop into a good player for the Eagles.
Washington Commanders: B
Draft Picks: OT Josh Conerly, CB Trey Amos, WR Jaylin Lane, LB Kain Medrano, RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt
The Commanders needed more help on defense, but do beef up their offensive line with Conerly. Amos can give them a good outside corner to move Mike Sainristil to nickel next season.
Chicago Bears: B
Draft Picks: TE Colston Loveland, WR Luther Burden, OT Ozzy Trapilo, DL Shemar Turner, LB Ruben Hyppolite, CB Zah Frazier, OT Luke Newman, RB Kyle Monangai
Loveland is a good tight end, but Tyler Warren was still on the board and it wasn’t a huge area of need. Burden was an extreme value pick in the second round and can really help this offense take a jump. Trapilo was picked a bit early, but gives the Bears offensive line depth. Turner helps give them a versatile interior defender.
Detroit Lions: C
Draft Picks: DL Tyleik Williams, IOL Tate Ratledge, WR Isaac TeSlaa, IOL Miles Frazier, EDGE Ahmed Hassanein, S Dan Jackson, WR Dominic Lovett
Detroit reached on Williams and are pretty solid at the position already. Ratledge was a quality pick that will continue to make their offensive line one of the best in the league. TeSlaa was a bit of a reach, but could stretch the field.
Green Bay Packers: B-
Draft Picks: WR Matthew Golden, OT Anthony Belton, WR Savion Williams, EDGE Barryn Sorrell, EDGE Collin Oliver, DL Warren Brinson, CB Micah Robinson, OT John Williams
The Packers need a no. 1 receiver, but already have plenty of solid ones and Golden just adds to that room. Belton was picked a little early, but does have great length and strength. The Packers will have a deep wide receiver room after drafting Williams, who will be useful on gadget plays.
Minnesota Vikings: A
Draft Picks: IOL Donovan Jackson, WR Tai Felton, EDGE Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins, LB Kobe King, TE Gavin Bartholomew
Minnesota has to make sure JJ McCarthy is protected and Jackson can do that, whether he plays tackle or guard. Felton needs to add more strength, but was productive at Maryland.
Atlanta Falcons: A
Draft Picks: EDGE Jalon Walker, EDGE James Pearce, S Xavier Watts, S Billy Bowman, OT Jack Nelson
Atlanta got the second-best edge rusher in the draft and the Falcons desperately need help in that area. They doubled down on edge rushers by getting Pearce, so one may hit for the Falcons. Watts has great ball skills and could end up starting for the Falcons.
Carolina Panthers: A
Draft Picks: WR Tetairoa McMillan, EDGE Nic Scourton, EDGE Princely Umanmielen, RB Trevor Etienne, S Lathan Ransom, DL Cam Jackson, TE Mitchell Evans, WR Jimmy Horn
Bryce Young showed flashes down the stretch and now get a big-bodied wide receiver to help him develop further in McMillan. Scourton got pressure early in his college career and has slimmed down to get to that playing weight, which should help his future. Umanmielen really improved his production this past season at Ole Miss.
New Orleans Saints: B-
Draft Picks: OT Kelvin Banks, QB Tyler Shough, DL Vernon Broughton, S Jonas Sanker, LB Danny Stutsman, CB Quincy Riley, RB Devin Neal, TE Moliki Matavao, EDGE Fadil Diggs
New Orleans needs tackle help and Banks could play tackle or move inside to guard. Taking Shough, who is not a top 200 player on The Game Haus big board, was an extreme reach. He will be 26 before playing and has massive issues facing pressure. Broughton was a bit of a reach as well. Sanker does a good job of finding the football and making tackles.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: B+
Draft Picks: WR Emeka Egbuka, CB Benjamin Morrison, CB Jacob Parrish, EDGE David Walker, DL Elijah Roberts, WR Tez Johnson
The Buccaneers didn’t exactly need a wide receiver, but got a solid player in Egbuka. Morrison had a chance to be one of the top two corners in the draft before injuring his hip. Parrish has good speed and can play in the slot for the Bucs.
Arizona Cardinals: A
Draft Picks: DL Walter Nolen, CB Will Johnson. EDGE Jordan Burch, LB Cody Simon, CB Denzel Burke, IOL Hayden Conner, S Kitan Crawford
Arizona needs a few defensive linemen to improve their defense and addressed that in the first round in Nolen. The Cardinals got great value in Johnson in the second and he will help their defense immediately as well. Burch is a versatile edge rusher who can play a little bit on the inside.
Los Angeles Rams: B
Draft Picks: TE Terrance Ferguson, EDGE Josaiah Stewart, RB Jarquez Hunter, DL Ty Hamilton, LB Chris Paul, WR Konata Mumpfield
The Rams traded out of the first and got an athletic tight end in Ferguson in the second, who should make their offense more dynamic. Stewart is an explosive athlete on the edge.
San Francisco 49ers: B
Draft Picks: EDGE Mykel Williams, DL Alfred Collins, LB Nick Martin, CB Upton Stout, DL CJ West, WR Jordan Watkins, S Marques Sigle, QB Kurtis Rourke, IOL Connor Colby, WR Junior Bergen
Williams can help the 49ers get more pressure on the quarterback next season across from Nick Bosa. With Williams and Collins, San Francisco is improving their run defense in this draft. Martin is coming off of an injury, but has great pursuit of the football. Stout is a solid nickel corner who has solid speed.
Seattle Seahawks: B+
Draft Picks: IOL Grey Zabel, S Nick Emmanwori, TE Elijah Arroyo, QB Jalen Milroe, EDGE Rylie Mills, RB Jordan James, WR Tory Horton, TE Robbie Ouzts, IOL Bryce Cabledue, RB Damien Martinez, OT Mason Richman, WR Ricky White
Zabel is moving inside for the NFL and played well in the Senior Bowl, which may help him adjust to the NFL level. Trading up for Emmanwori was a good move, as he was projected to go in the first round. Arroyo is an athletic tight end who can open things up for Sam Darnold. Milroe can be a weapon on offense, even if he doesn’t start at quarterback.
