2022 NFL Mock Draft March 8

Publish Date: March 8, 2022

The 2021 football season is over. It is never too early to look ahead to the draft. Here is the 2022 NFL Mock Draft March 8.

2022 NFL Mock Draft March 8

1. Jacksonville Jaguars- Evan Neal, OT, Alabama

With Cam Robinson and Andrew Norwell hitting free agency, the Jaguars will need to make sure that Trevor Lawrence is protected.

2. Detroit Lions- Aidan Hutchinson, EDGE, Michigan

Detroit can stick with Jared Goff for one more season while they build out the roster. Hutchinson is very technically sound and can help their pass rush from day one.

3. Houston Texans- Kayvon Thibodeaux, EDGE, Oregon

The Texans need help all over and could take the best player available. For them, that might be Thibodeaux who is a good pass rusher and run defender.

4. New York Jets- Kyle Hamilton, S, Notre Dame

While the Jets may be hesitant to draft another safety early in the draft, Hamilton can do it all as a safety from playing against the run to playing single-high coverage.

5. New York Giants- Ikem Ekwonu, OT, NC State

Without a quarterback worth taking, the Giants should continue to improve the offensive line. Ekwonu succeeded at left tackle in college, but could move to guard at the next level if needed.

6. Carolina Panthers- Charles Cross, OT, Mississippi State

If the Panthers don’t like any of the quarterbacks at this point, they need to continue to fix their offensive line, even if it means they are stuck in quarterback purgatory.

7. New York Giants (via CHI)- George Karlaftis, EDGE, Purdue

The Giants rank near the bottom of the league in sacks per game. They need to get more pressure on the quarterback and Karlaftis is a versatile lineman who can help.

8. Atlanta Falcons- David Ojabo, EDGE, Michigan

Atlanta needs to keep adding to their defense. They have a huge chance to win the division and Ojabo can help by pressuring the quarterback.

9. Denver Broncos- Malik Willis, QB, Liberty

The Broncos may have a new regime, who will want a new quarterback. If they can’t find one in free agency or a trade, they may take one early in the 2022 NFL Draft. Willis has an NFL-level arm and can run, but will need to work on his decision-making.

10. New York Jets (via SEA)- Jermaine Johnson, EDGE, Florida State

For the Jets defense to really improve, they need to get more pressure on the quarterback. Johnson is a great run defender and can develop as a pass rusher.

11. Washington Football Team- Kenny Pickett, QB, Pittsburgh

Washington still needs a quarterback of the future. Pickett showed his gunslinging mentality, but was also decently efficient this past year at Pittsburgh.

12. Minnesota Vikings- Ahmad Gardner, CB, Cincinnati

Minnesota signed Patrick Peterson at corner, but he is aging. They need to get younger at the position.

13. Cleveland Browns- Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State

After trading Odell Beckham Jr., the Browns need to get another playmaker at wide receiver to make their offense more dynamic.

14. Baltimore Ravens- Jordan Davis, DL, Georgia

The Ravens need a big nose tackle to be disruptive in the middle of their 3-4 defense and Davis is a perfect fit.

15. Philadelphia Eagles (via MIA)- Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas

Jalen Hurts has earned the right to start next season at quarterback. The Eagles need more weapons for him to utilize along with DeVonta Smith. Burks is a bigger, but athletic receiver.

16. Philadelphia Eagles (via IND)- Derek Stingley Jr., CB, LSU

The Eagles can get another good corner across from Slay, which could really help their defense take a jump.

17. Los Angeles Chargers- DeMarvin Leal, DL, Texas A&M

Leal can help the Chargers’ run defense improve next season.

18. New Orleans Saints- Drake London, WR, USC

Without Michael Thomas, it was hard for the Saints’ offense to move the ball. They need to get more weapons for whoever is starting at quarterback next season.

19. Philadelphia Eagles- Devin Lloyd, LB, Utah

Philadelphia can upgrade a lot of areas with their three first-round picks. They need to target a linebacker at some point in the draft, as their linebackers haven’t been great this season.

20. Pittsburgh Steelers- Sam Howell, QB, North Carolina

Ben Roethlisberger has retired and the Steelers don’t have a proven quarterback on the roster. If they want to compete again, they too need to address the quarterback position.

21. New England Patriots- Jameson Williams, WR, Alabama

The Patriots need to get Mac Jones more help at wide receiver if they want him to be successful long-term.

22. Las Vegas Raiders- Andrew Booth Jr., CB, Clemson

Las Vegas has whiffed on their fair share of first-round corners, so they may need to take another one.

23. Arizona Cardinals- Kaiir Elam, CB, Florida

Arizona doesn’t have many needs, but could get a corner to develop across from Byron Murphy.

24. Dallas Cowboys- Tyler Linderbaum, OG/C, Iowa

The Cowboys’ offensive line isn’t what it once was, so they need to improve to help the offense, even after they averaged the most points per game.

25. Buffalo Bills- Trent McDuffie, CB, Washington

After Tre White went down with an injury, Buffalo was thin at corner.

26. Tennessee Titans- Nakobe Dean, LB, Georgia

The Titans could use a young linebacker like Dean, who flies around the field making tackles.

27. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Zion Johnson, OG/C, Boston College

Ali Marpet has retired, which means the Buccaneers need to find another offensive lineman to fill in.

28. Green Bay Packers- Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State

If Aaron Rodgers stays in Green Bay, it would be wise to give him a few more receivers to throw to after the Packers scored just 10 points against the 49ers in the playoffs.

29. Miami Dolphins (via SF)- Trevor Penning, OT, Northern Iowa

The Dolphins have to use whatever draft capital and cap space they need to in order to improve the offensive line.

30. Kansas City Chiefs- Travon Walker, DL, Georgia

Kansas City can get a versatile defensive lineman in Walker, who could really help their aging defensive line.

31. Cincinnati Bengals- Kenyon Green, OG/C, Texas A&M

Joe Burrow has been sacked entirely too much. The Bengals need to improve their offensive line to keep him upright. Green is a versatile lineman, who has played every position on the offensive line.

32. Detroit Lions (via LAR)- Christian Watson, WR, North Dakota State

The Lions have a young receiver in Amon-Ra St. Brown, but need to add more to the receiving core.
