Round 1
1. Cincinnati Bengals-Â Joe Burrow, QB, LSU
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zt7YV__T9o&t=17s
Just when it was thought that Joe Burrow couldn’t impress anymore, he dominated a great Georgia defense in the SEC Championship Game. Then he threw seven touchdown passes in the first half against Oklahoma. Now he’s a national champion. The Bengals need to get their quarterback of the future in this draft.
2. Washington Redskins-Â Chase Young, Edge, Ohio State
Young is a freak athlete and will help the team out immediately. The Redskins need to protect Dwayne Haskins, but they can’t pass up on the best player in the class.
3. Detroit Lions-Â Jeffrey Okudah, CB, Ohio State
Okudah has great ball skills and can stick to a man like glue. The Lions still have a shaky secondary outside of Darius Slay and could use a corner across from him.
4. New York Giants-Â Isaiah Simmons, LB/S, Clemson
Though they need a left tackle, the Giants still have Nate Solder on the roster. They also signed Blake Martinez, who is a solid run-stuffing linebacker, but he can’t cover, which could mean the Giants need to take Simmons. Simmons has athleticism that is so good it is hard to comprehend.
5. Miami Dolphins- Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama
While Tagovailoa has been reportedly failing physicals, he has been the apple of the Dolphins’ eye for the whole draft process. They even tried bringing him in for a visit before things were shut down. If he needs more time to heal, he can sit behind Ryan Fitzpatrick and learn until he is ready.
6. Los Angeles Chargers- Justin Herbert, QB, Oregon
The Chargers say they are ok with Tyrod Taylor at quarterback, but they need to plan for the future. Herbert had a solid career at Oregon and looks the part of an NFL quarterback.
7. Carolina Panthers- Derrick Brown, DT/NT, Auburn
Had he come out after last season, Brown would’ve been a top 10 pick. He has that potential this season if teams have a need for interior linemen. After trading for Russell Okung, the Panthers have their tackle to protect new quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. This will allow them to take Brown to help fill in the middle of the defense.
8. Arizona Cardinals- Andrew Thomas, OT, Georgia
Reports are swirling that teams like Andrew Thomas to be the first tackle taken off the board, which is where he started the process this year. Arizona supported Kyler Murray with the acquisition of DeAndre Hopkins, now they need to protect him.
9. Jacksonville Jaguars- Tristan Wirfs, OT, Iowa
The Jags need to have a better offensive line to clear running room for Leonard Fournette, which will also help the quarterbacks play better. Wirfs played right tackle for Iowa, but is played well and could be an early first-round pick. He also had a great NFL Combine.
10. Cleveland Browns- Jedrick Wills, OT, Alabama
Wills had a good season for Alabama and has cemented himself as one of the top prospects in the class. The Browns have a lot of good skill position players, but they neglected the offensive line and it is costing them.
11. New York Jets- Jerry Jeudy, WR, Alabama
Robby Anderson is a free agent and the Jets have to get playmakers to open things up for Sam Darnold. Jeudy has shown flashes of being a number one receiver with his ability to get open and cut on a dime.
12. Las Vegas Raiders- CeeDee Lamb, WR, Oklahoma
Lamb is great once the ball is in his hands and should help the Raiders move the ball. The Raiders need to get some playmakers in this draft to help build the team in Las Vegas.
13. San Francisco 49ers (via IND)- Henry Ruggs, WR, Alabama
Ruggs is a fast receiver who should be able to get open often in the NFL. The 49ers lost Emmanuel Sanders in free agency. When he was on the field for them last year, things really opened up for the offense.
14. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Mekhi Becton, OT, Louisville
The Buccaneers won the Tom Brady lottery, but have to protect him. Becton is the biggest tackle in the class, but he can also move well.
15. Denver Broncos- C.J. Henderson, CB, Florida
The Broncos lost Chris Harris to free agency and brought on A.J. Bouye. They still need more cornerbacks outside of Bouye. Henderson is a good cover corner who could help across from Bouye.
16. Atlanta Falcons- Javon Kinlaw, DT, South Carolina
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WH5H8z8b4VY&t=8s
The Falcons need to get a better defense if they want to compete again, especially after releasing Desmond Trufant. South Carolina upset Georgia this year and Kinlaw’s disruption was a major reason why. Kinlaw also impressed in Senior Bowl practices.
17. Dallas Cowboys- A.J. Terrell, CB, Clemson
Dallas needs some help at corner after Byron Jones walked in free agency. Terrell had a great college career, but struggled in the College Football Playoff.
18. Miami Dolphins- Austin Jackson, OT, USC
Jackson is an athletic left tackle, who could be the cornerstone of an offensive line for years. The Dolphins need to improve the offensive line if they want their rebuild to go well.
19. Las Vegas Raiders- A.J. Epenesa, Edge, Iowa
Jon Gruden has mentioned how tough it is to find a good pass rusher, so he’ll likely address that in the draft. Epenesa jumped out on tape when watching some of Iowa’s prospects that were eligible for the 2019 NFL Draft. He was a backup last year and now is getting a chance to shine.
20. Jacksonville Jaguars (via LAR)- Jeff Gladney, CB, TCU
After trading Jalen Ramsey to the Rams, the Jaguars might want to replace him to help their defense move back into the ranks of the elite. Gladney has 26 passes defended over the last two seasons.
21. Philadelphia Eagles- Justin Jefferson, WR, LSU
Jefferson had four touchdown catches against Oklahoma, which reaffirms his draft stock. The Eagles suffered so many injuries to wide receiver last year and lost Nelson Agholor. They need to get a playmaker.
22. Minnesota Vikings (via BUF)- Kristian Fulton, CB, LSU
Fulton was a part of a great LSU secondary and should be one of the top corners off the board. The Vikings will be without Xavier Rhodes, Trae Waynes and Mackensie Alexander next year and need to get a cornerback with one of their early picks.
23. New England Patriots- K’Lavon Chaisson, EDGE, LSU
Chaisson has been a good edge rusher for LSU and has unique athletic ability. The Patriots lost a lot from their defense and need to get some pass rushers.
24. New Orleans Saints- Ross Blacklock, DL, TCU
New Orleans should try to improve the interior of their defensive line. Blacklock can slide right in and improve the Saints’ defensive line.
25. Minnesota Vikings- Cesar Ruiz, OG/C, MichiganÂ
The Vikings have focused on running the ball more this season and they should get better interior linemen to make it easier on them.
26. Miami Dolphins (via HOU)- Jalen Reagor, WR, TCU
The Dolphins need to get weapons on the outside along with a lot of other things in order to improve.
27. Seattle Seahawks- Josh Jones, OT, Houston
The Seahawks need to start protecting Russell Wilson if they want his career to be long. Jones impressed in the senior bowl and is really rising up draft boards.
28. Baltimore Ravens- Patrick Queen, LB, LSU
Baltimore improved a lot of their defense, but still need good linebackers. Queen has great speed and can be a steal late in round one.
29. Tennessee Titans- Xavier McKinney, S, Alabama
The Titans are starting Kenny Vaccaro at one of their safety spots and his best days are behind him. McKinney was a versatile player for Alabama and could be the first safety off the board.
30. Green Bay Packers- Denzel Mims, WR, Baylor
The Packers need someone other than Davante Adams to step up. Mims had a great combine, showing great speed and athleticism.
31. San Francisco 49ers- Neville Gallimore, DL, Oklahoma
After trading away DeForest Buckner, the 49ers need to get another player on the interior of the defensive line.
32. Kansas City Chiefs- Yetur Gross-Matos, EDGE, Penn State
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0ajItN2qRM
The Chiefs can really improve their defense with another pass rusher. Gross-Matos is a solid pass rusher, but could fall to the end of the first round in the draft.
Round 2
33. Cincinnati Bengals- Kenneth Murray, LB, Oklahoma
Cincinnati had a terrible defense last season. They can address that heavily in the draft and can get a day one starter in Murray.
34. Indianapolis Colts (via WAS)- Tee Higgins, WR, Clemson
With Philip Rivers now in the fold, the Colts need to give him ample weapons to compete next season. Higgins is a big athletic receiver who will remind Rivers of Mike Williams.
35. Detroit Lions- Zack Baun, Edge/LB, Wisconsin
Baun is a versatile player that can rush the passer or stand up and play linebacker.
36. New York Giants- Isaiah Wilson, OT, Georgia
The Giants have to protect Daniel Jones to get him to develop to his fullest capabilities.
37. Los Angeles Chargers- Ezra Cleveland, OT, Boise State
After trading away Russell Okung, the Chargers need a blindside protector.
38. Carolina Panthers- Trevon Diggs, CB, Alabama
Carolina needs a corner to go opposite of Donte Jackson to help build their secondary up.
39. Miami Dolphins- Grant Delpit, S, LSU
After focusing on their offense with earlier picks, the Dolphins can get a good safety in Delpit to play behind their new great cornerback duo.
40. Houston Texans (via ARI)- Justin Madubuike, DT, Texas A&M
The Texans lost D.J. Reader in free agency and need to get some better play on the defensive line.
41. Cleveland Browns- Laviska Shenault, WR, Colorado
Cleveland needs to get their offense going and can get Shenault to pair with the great receivers already on the offense.
42. Jacksonville Jaguars- Jordan Love, QB, Utah State
If the Jaguars don’t fully believe in Gardner Minshew, they may take a quarterback at some point after the first round.
43. Chicago Bears (via LV)- Tyler Biadasz, OG/C, Wisconsin
Biadasz is a good player, but had a down year in 2019. The Bears need to get better blocking upfront to improve the offense.
44. Indianapolis Colts- Cameron Dantzler, CB, Mississippi State
The Colts lost Pierre Desir in free agency and need to replace him.
45. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- D’Andre Swift, RB, Georgia
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUqTZuNc9lA
Ronald Jones has had an inconsistent career so far and the Bucs could benefit with a running back by committee.
46. Denver Broncos- Brandon Aiyuk, WR, Arizona State
Denver has to get more support for Drew Lock to go along with Courtland Sutton and Noah Fant.
47. Atlanta Falcons- Cole Kmet, TE, Notre Dame
The Falcons acquired Hayden Hurst in a trade, but they may choose to invest more into the position after losing Austin Hooper.
48. New York Jets- Terrell Lewis, Edge, Alabama
Getting more pressure on the quarterback will vastly improve the Jets’ defense.
49. Pittsburgh Steelers- Chase Claypool, WR, Notre Dame
Diontae Johnson has played solidly alongside JuJu Smith-Schuster, but more wide receiver help could keep the offense moving.
50. Chicago Bears- Antoine Winfield, S, Minnesota
The Bears need another safety to go along with Eddie Jackson.
51. Dallas Cowboys- Josh Uche, Edge, Michigan
Dallas has signed interior linemen in free agency, but needs to get a pass-rushing partner across from DeMarcus Lawrence.
52. Los Angeles Rams- Jonathan Taylor, RB, Wisconsin
Although they took Darrell Henderson last year, the Rams need to find a bell-cow back to replace Todd Gurley.
53. Philadelphia Eagles- Curtis Weaver, Edge, Boise State
The Eagles need to address their pass rush at some point in the draft.
54. Buffalo Bills- Lucas Niang, OT, TCU
Selecting a tackle will allow the Bills to slide Cody Ford inside and really improve their line in two areas.
55. Baltimore Ravens (via NE)- Kyle Dugger, S, Lenoir-Rhyne
The Ravens could get a developmental safety to pair with Earl Thomas.
56. Miami Dolphins (via NO)- Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB, LSU
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzYVJhrwjzM&t=3s
Miami signed Jordan Howard, but could use a third-down back to pair with him for the future.
57. Houston Texans- Damon Arnette, CB, Ohio State
Last season, the Texans had a terrible secondary and need to add corners, at the very least for depth.
58. Minnesota Vikings- K.J. Hamler, WR, Penn State
After trading away Stefon Diggs, the Vikings need to get a good wide receiver to pair with Adam Thielen.
59. Seattle Seahawks- Damien Lewis, OG/C, LSU
Seattle has to continue to add to their offensive line to protect Russell Wilson at all costs.
60. Baltimore Ravens- Lynn Bowden, WR, Kentucky
Giving Lamar Jackson even more weapons will make the offense harder to stop.
61. Tennessee Titans- J.K. Dobbins, RB, Ohio State
In case a long-term deal can’t be reached with Derrick Henry, the team needs a backup plan.
62. Green Bay Packers- Malik Harrison, LB, Ohio State
The Packers need a linebacker after losing Blake Martinez in free agency.
63. Kansas City Chiefs (via SF)- Willie Gay Jr., LB, Mississippi State
Kansas City has to get help at linebacker before next season.
64. Seattle Seahawks (via KC)- Marlon Davidson, DL, Auburn
The Seahawks can improve their defensive line with this pick, as they lost a few key players from the unit following last season.
