Counter-Strike: Global Offensive: Mousesports Announces New Roster

New Look mousesports

Earlier this morning, mousesports announced their new roster for CS:GO. After a disappointing run of poor form followed by an exit at the Europe Minor earlier this year, it was time to revamp. The organization made it clear that they wanted to build their new team around Robin “ropz” Kool and Chris “chrisJ” de Jong. Mousesports announced that added Özgür “woxic Eker, Finn “karrigan” Andersen and David “frozen” Čerňanský to their CS:GO roster.

Karrigan is a veteran, and he will be taking over the role of in game leading. This is Karrigan’s fourth time being on mousesports. He leaves Envy to become the tactician mousesports need in order to reach form again. With the Czech AWPer Oskar on the way out, it was only logical for mousesports to go after a young, talented AWPer in woxic.

Woxic played for HellRaisers, and his skill generated a buzz in the CS:GO community that he was one of the next great AWPers. He is already very talented but at just the age of 20 he has room to grow. Being only 20 years old, woxic is still going to improve. Finally, we have frozen. Frozen is a 16 year old entry fragger. He created noise about himself in the scene during 2017 while on eXatuts. However, not much is known about him and he is considered the biggest gamble on this new mousesports roster.

What’s Next for mousesports?

This new roster brings in a ton of youth and a great veteran in karrigan. Time will tell if this team can reach its form from 2018. But with a roster with so much young talent, they should see improvement rather drastically. The big question is: how will frozen fare alongside this new team, and will he be able to compete against the best teams in the world? If he does indeed do that, mousesports returning to their top five form could become a reality.
