Zaire Wade has signed a G-League contract. The Salt Lake City Stars signed Wade, whose father, Dwyane Wade, co-owns their NBA affiliate, the Utah Jazz. The exact length and figures of the contract have not been reported at time of writing.
The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported the news via Twitter on Tuesday.
Dwyane Wade is a three-time NBA Champion with the Miami Heat. His Hall of Fame-level career spanned from 2003 until 2019 as he was selected to 13 All-Star games and earned an NBA Finals MVP award, among many other accomplishments.
His son, Zaire, was attending school at Sierra Canyon in Chatsworth, California. The 19-year-old will now attempt to follow in his father’s footsteps by joining the G-League affiliate of the team which his father owns a minority stake.
