The Washington Wizards are sending Daniel Gafford to the Dallas Mavericks for Richaun Holmes and draft compensation. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported the news.
Gafford is a forward who is averaging 10.9 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. He is in his fifth season in the league.
The Mavericks will get good frontcourt depth with the addition of Gafford. They are currently in eight place in the Western Conference.
Holmes, 30, is averaging 3.4 points and 3.4 rebounds per game. The Wizards are also receiving draft compensation to help them with their rebuild.
