Wesley Matthews to Sign a 1-Year, $3.6 Million Deal With Lakers

Free agent wing Wesley Matthews plans to sign a one-year, $3.6 million deal with the Los Angeles Lakers according to the Athletic’s Shams Charania.

Matthews is a 34-year-old who has played 11 seasons in the NBA for six different teams. He averages 13.1 points per game over his career and has specialized as a shooter, hitting 38.1 percent of his 3-point shots in his career.

The Lakers have moved on from some of their shooters from their championship team last season, including Danny Green, so Matthews will help space the floor for Anthony Davis and LeBron James.
