The Houston Rockets are trading guard
Victor Oladipo
to the Miami Heat for
Avery Bradley,
Kelly Olynyk
and a draft swap according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
Oladipo, 28, is an eight-year veteran who has spent time with the Magic, Thunder, Pacers and Rockets in his career. He has made two All-Star appearances and averaged 17.6 points per game.
The Heat will pair Oladipo with Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro in hopes that the team can return to the NBA Finals this season.
After not wanting to sign an extension in Houston, the Rockets decided to move on from Oladipo as they prepare to rebuild. They likely will not retain Bradley or Olynyk past this season.
