Free agent guard Tyus Jones has agreed to a one-year, $7 million deal with the Orlando Magic, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Jones, 29, is a 10-year NBA veteran who has played for the Timberwolves, Grizzlies, Wizards and Suns. In his career, he has averaged 7.7 points, 2.0 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game.
The Magic went 41-41 last season and were able to make the playoffs. They traded Cole Anthony earlier this offseason, so Jones can help provide point guard minutes off the bench.
