The Indiana Pacers are giving Tyrese Haliburton the maximum. According to reports, Haliburton is receiving a contract worth up to $260 million over the next five years, making him the most highly-paid player on the team.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported the news via Twitter.
Haliburton was taken with the 12th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft by the Sacramento Kings. He played there for two-plus seasons before being traded to the Pacers in the deal that sent Domantas Sabonis to the Sacramento.
During his first full year as a Pacer, Haliburton averaged a double-double, scoring over 20 points per game, and dishing out over 10 assists. In a game against the Rockets last season, Haliburton scored 29 points while grabbing a career-high 19 assists.
