Trevor Ariza is heading West as he has agreed to a two-year, $25 million deal with the Sacramento Kings. Shams Charania of The Athletic reported the signing via Twitter.
Ariza will join the eighth team of his career (including multiple stints with the Wizards and Rockets). He last played for the Wizards where he averaged 14.1 points in 43 games. He returned to the Wizards after a brief stint with the Phoenix Suns, who he signed a one-year deal with last summer. However, he was traded to the Wizards in exchange for Austin Rivers and Kelly Oubre Jr.
Ariza joins a young Sacramento Kings’ roster that features De’Aaron Fox and Buddy Hield. Adding a veteran such as Ariza could be just the move the Kings need. Fans will see come next season.
