With NBA free agency largely wrapped up, it’s a great time to take a look at each NBA team’s depth chart as we head closer to the NBA season. Let’s take a look at the Toronto Raptors’ updated depth chart following free agency, along with some analysis of the team’s incoming and outgoing players as they shape up for the 2026–27 season.

Coupled with the LA Clippers, the Toronto Raptors have had one of the more unusual offseasons of the summer, making a blockbuster deal for star forward Kawhi Leonard. The issue that remains is that the deal is still on hold while the NBA investigates allegations involving Leonard and the Clippers.
Despite the potential logistical and legal ramifications of the trade, if authorized, the Raptors would be bringing back one of the most famous players in franchise history in Leonard. Leonard led the Raptors to their first-ever NBA championship in 2019 when they defeated the Golden State Warriors, also earning Finals MVP honors in the process. Although he spent just one season in Toronto, Leonard arguably played some of the best basketball of his career during that playoff run, scoring 732 points in the 2019 postseason, which is the third-most in a single playoff run in NBA history.
Leonard left Toronto in free agency in 2019 to join the Clippers, but if the trade is approved, he’ll be back at age 35 to lead a new Raptors team back to the playoffs. In 65 games with the Clippers last season, Leonard averaged a career-high 27.9 points, along with 6.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists, while shooting 50.5% from the field and 38.7% from three-point range.
While Leonard would potentially be a huge addition for the Raptors, they did have to give up important players in Brandon Ingram and Gradey Dick in exchange for him. Ingram is coming off one of the best seasons of his career, averaging 21.5 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists last season. Gradey Dick was one of the talented young perimeter shooters on the Raptors’ roster, and his three-point shooting ability will be missed.
Besides the losses of Ingram and Dick, the Raptors also lost forward Sandro Mamukelashvili to the Los Angeles Lakers. Mamukelashvili is coming off the best season of his career in his lone season with the Raptors, and his presence in the Raptors’ frontcourt should be supplemented by the offseason addition of veteran Kyle Anderson and first-round pick Allen Graves.
Besides Anderson, the Raptors weren’t largely active in free agency, making smaller signings and aiming to maintain continuity on the roster besides the Leonard trade. They were able to re-sign guard Alijah Martin and add young playmakers Jaden Bradley and Allen Graves to round out their second unit group.
The key determinant of the Raptors’ offseason is the Kawhi Leonard trade, which is still pending. If the trade goes through, though, the Raptors have put themselves in a position to be contenders in the Eastern Conference, with Leonard, Scottie Barnes, RJ Barrett and more leading the way.
