Free agent guard Tim Hardaway Jr. has agreed to a one-year, $6.5 million deal with the Miami Heat, according to Shams Charania.
Hardaway, 34, is a 13-year NBA veteran who has played for the Knicks, Hawks, Mavericks, Pistons and Nuggets. In his career, he has averaged 13.7 points per game on 36.5 percent shooting from deep. Last season in 80 games for the Nuggets, Hardaway scored 13.5 points per game while shooting 40.7 percent from three-point range.
Miami traded several players to acquire Giannis Antetokounmpo and now needs more depth and shooters to help diversify their roster and Hardaway will provide that.
