The Atlanta Hawks defeated the Brooklyn Nets 108–97 on March 12, 2026. Atlanta extended its winning streak to eight games with the victory. The matchup remained competitive through the first three quarters, but Atlanta pulled away late to secure the win.

Atlanta Hawks

Guard Dyson Daniels has been ruled out with a toe sprain, impacting Atlanta’s backcourt rotation. Forward Jonathan Kuminga was recently cleared to return after missing time with a knee bone bruise, which could strengthen the Hawks’ rotation moving forward.

Atlanta has shown improvement on both ends of the floor during its current winning streak as the team pushes deeper into the latter part of the season.

Johnson has also emerged as a key player for Atlanta. He recently posted 35 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists in a win against the Philadelphia 76ers, highlighting his growing role as a primary scoring option.

Brooklyn Nets

Center Day’Ron Sharpe will miss the rest of the season after tearing a ligament in his thumb and requiring surgery. Rookie guard Egor Dëmin is also out for the remainder of the season with plantar fasciitis.

With the team near the bottom of the standings, Brooklyn is using the remaining games to evaluate rookies and younger players such as Nolan Traoré and other developing talent.

Conclusion

That wraps up tonight’s game, with Atlanta taking home the win and moving one step closer to a playoff spot. The Nets will look to regroup and deliver a stronger performance in their next matchup.
