Chicago Bulls select Caleb Wilson with the No. 4 overall pick

The Chicago Bulls have selected forward Caleb Wilson with the fourth overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.

Caleb Wilson was one of the most impressive freshmen in college basketball last season and has one of the highest upsides of any player in this draft class.

Wilson started his collegiate career at North Carolina in impressive fashion, averaging 19.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.5 steals per game while shooting 57.8% from the field. He played in 24 games for the Tar Heels before suffering a broken left hand and a broken right thumb, injuries that forced him to miss the end of the season and the NCAA Tournament.

One of Wilson’s best attributes is his elite athleticism. At 6-foot-9.25 and 211 pounds, Wilson possesses a wingspan of more than seven feet and recorded a 39-inch vertical leap at the NBA Draft Combine.

His athleticism isn’t just something that translates on the offensive end, but also makes him an intriguing and exciting defensive prospect, truly making him a dual-threat player with tremendous upside that the Chicago Bulls will be excited to utilize as a chess piece.

Although Wilson has the intangibles and talent to succeed at the next level, his 3-point shooting remains an area for improvement after he shot 25.9% from beyond the arc last season.

Wilson fits nicely with a relatively young Bulls roster and will give new head coach Tiago Splitter another talented piece to develop and implement into his system.
