The Spurs have started out free agency by bringing back some of their key role players from a season ago. They re-signed Tre Jones, Julian Champagnie and Sandro Mamukelashvili.
With the Spurs missing out on taking a point guard in the NBA Draft as well as not signing one yet in free agency, Tre Jones will likely return as the starting point guard next season.
Jones is coming off of a season where he averaged 12.9 points, 3.6 rebounds and 6.6 assists.
He played on a two-way contract last season.
Champagnie played only the last 15 games for the Spurs last season, averaging 11.0 points while shooting 40.7% from three.
Re-signing Champagnie will help the Spurs offensively by giving them a great outside shooter.
Mamu played well in his 19 games in San Antonio last season after being let go by the Bucks.
He averaged 10.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists while shooting 34.3% from three.
Sandro brings a solid backup center back to San Antonio.
