Spurs Announce In-Season Tournament Schedule

Publish Date: August 17, 2023

The Spurs released their In-Season Tournament schedule on Tuesday. This is the first season that the NBA will have the highly anticipated In-Season Tournament. The tournament starts in November with a month of “group play” and then continues into the knockout rounds and finishes with the championship in early December.

The Spurs find themselves in “Group C” which includes the Sacramento Kings, Golden State Warriors, Minnesota Timberwolves and Oklahoma City Thunder. Games played against these four teams will count toward their record for the tournament. The best team from each group as well as two “wild card teams” will compete in the knockout rounds. These games also count toward teams’ regular season record.

Schedule

The Spurs used this video on Twitter to release their In-Season Tournament schedule.

The Spurs’ In-Season Tournament schedule starts on Friday, November 10 where they will match up against the Timberwolves at 7 p.m. CT. They then travel to play the Thunder on Tuesday, November 14 at 6:30 p.m. CT on TNT. On Friday, November 17, they return home to face the Kings at 6:30 p.m. CT on ESPN. The final game will be Tuesday, November 24 at Golden State at 9 p.m. CT on ESPN.

San Antonio has the most nationally televised games for the tournament along with the Phoenix Suns with three. Victor Wembanyama will be at the forefront of the broadcasts.

Don’t expect the Spurs to win this tournament or even get out of the “play-in” round as they have three playoff teams from last year in their group.

This is just the beginning of the NBA schedule being released. The full schedule will release on Thursday, August 17.

Stay tuned for more NBA content including news from every team.
